2008 Australia Race Highlights

Indycars HAVE TO go back to Surfer's Paradise.One of the best crowds of the year and that was without Australians racing in it, now you have 2 and they're championship contenders....they have to go back there by 2012.

I very much doubt IRL will ever come back to Australia mainly because it's outside of America and it has right-hand corners. Which is a shame as this was the best race of the season in my opinion. Hence saying that I still prefer the sound and smell of the methanol fuled turbo charged engines of CART and Champcar. As long as Tony George has control, Indy Cars will never be as exciting as they were back in the 80's and 90's.

Believe it out not, this may have been the best Indy Car race at Surfers in quite sometime. Even though the Indy Cars are slow on road courses they put on a good show.

The Queensland goverment have a 5 year contract with A1GP now but it looks like a1gp might not be around much longer. I recken get the indycars back for a non points race again untill they can fit it in the schedule

You should probably be able to pick up the world broadcast feed on some affiliate. PREMIERE usually covers it in Germany.

I hope more sponsors and potential team owners start leaving nascar (note: I like nascar, just not as much as Indy) and head to Indycar. It's so much cheaper to own/sponsor an Indycar team and Tony George has done a great job in making this series profitable and it's become more entertaining than nascar

i love indy gold coast and indycar coming this yr with the champ car and irl join made it better and i cant beleive will power crashing again 3 dnfs from 3 poles at surfers pffffttt

I don't think so. The IndyCar series season is every each race with the points counting... Surfers race was added only as non-point-championship race. So officially the last race of the season should be counted Chicagoland BUT it depends on you. How you think.
