the vocal harmonies in the chorus are stupefying. so good! this song was beautiful when they first recorded it but they are better singers now and it is just gigantically gorgeous now.
I met someone who didn't like listening to them talk. At first, I found that disconcerting. But then I investigated, and found out that this person hates ice cream, Saturdays, kissing, happiness, food, sleep, rainbows, and sea turtles. So there you go.
I think Tegan sounds a lot like stevie knicks in this song... Strong vocals on her... You can tell the difference of vocals between them!! Amazing ranges.
Honestly, though, they are amazing. Every single record and song they've released is fucking genius, but listening to this makes me really feel that this is the "type" of music that shows just how great they really are. They sound so good and it's so soulful and... real -if I may call it that-. The Ocean? Good. Alligator? Good. Hell? Meh. THIS, their earlier songs and The Con: UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE.
Oh, and the Sainthood b-sides? IMHO, they could be the whole record. I mean, Light Up, Wrists, It Was Midnight and Sheets? You can't compare their genius to almost any of the Sainthood songs...

I love this audience for not screaming during the song. That's rare. This also has to be the best version of the song I've heard. Maybe it's cause nobody's yelling and screaming.
