iN 1968-69 "Eye" magazine did a nice story on Traffic, and the picture had them on a playground with some kids. This group was my guide during my first LSD trips. I really listened carefully to them, not just because they were good musicians, but because they are good human beings, despite the interband politics that went on between them and Dave "Headkeeper" Mason. And "Canteen" matched Traffic with any serious 60'

I was supposed to see Traffic at the Fillmore East one winter night in the late 60's.

However, either Dave Mason was sick or the band was already in the midst of their break-up and they cancelled.

The Staple Singers filled in that night. They really weren't bad, I kind of enjoyed them but I never had the opportunity to see Traffic.
