  • looooooooooooooooooooooool, Olly going down the stair's on his backside, it literally made cry with laughter..... my favourite double act, as always! they were and still are the best

  • Laurel & Hardy are pure comedy gold.

  • Sound or no sound - truly beautiful!

  • I know they did silent films, but this wasn't one of them! Sound, please.

  • Shame. No sound.

  • KZZZZZZT!

    lol

    we haz D full collection...

  • no sound

  • What happened to the sound??

  • WOW....they just dont make em like this any more.... even with no sound it is hysterical!!! thanks for sharing!!

  • Thanks, one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

  • 1:41 ~ Love Olly twating Stan over his head with the snooker cue. Notice how the cue hits the space in front of Stans' head.

  • 1:41 ~ Love Olly twating Stan over his head with the snooker cue.

  • hardy didnt die in 1957 he died in the 60's like laurel for proof there is a video on youtube showing there last live clip with eachother in 1959.

  • These guys were awesome.making people laugh even after 80 years!!!

  • I can't think of any modern, or relatively recent, comedy series which will still be hilarious after 80 years.

  • Oh Man! "Brats" was always my favorite Laural and Hardy. My dad introduced me to them when I was a little kid. I remember laughing til my stomach hurt. Nothings changed. Timeless comedy! I think now I'm going to introduce them to my kids. Now where can I buy Laural and Hardy on DVD?

  • Um, Anthony Peppitone, this is a clip of a silent movie... They didn't have iPods in the 1920's, either.

  • Dude the you must not know what good shows are like then. I use to watch them when I was growing up way back in the day

  • It's hilarious how they made Ollie look so young just by shaving off his mustache.

  • Why waste time putting up a clip with no sound?

  • lol at the end with the stairs the original exorcist stair scene the power of christ compells you, the power of christ compells you

  • Watching Laurel and Hardy today is just as funny and joyful as it ever was. Utterly utterly timeless comedy from the greatest comedy double act bar none. Two geniuses of comedy, and two real gentlemen too!

  • this is from brats

  • This is so cool .... just love it ...

  • This is nothing- check out the "Laurel & Hardy CENSORED" video here on youtube that will split your sides!

  • NO SOUND???

  • I wanted to get a stache just like Hardy but Hitler ruined it!!!

  • Scenes from 'Brats'.

  • it's kind of funny how you look at oliver hardy in the short brats from 1930 and then by the end of the decade in the movie the flying deuces, he's a blimp, but these guys are the greatest comedic duo until beavis and butthead

  • 0:55, hahahahaha, omg that was funny :D

  • They are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING whoever doesn't like them is DAFT & they're missing loads L&H for ever :D

  • I'm a member of the world famous Sons of the Desert club.

  • I love Stan Laurel's expressions. Good ol fashion English chap

  • the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who needs modern cartoons when youve got L and H

  • A few times in history we get two people with great chemistry as a team:

Laurel and Hardy (brought together by Hal Roach, rest was history)

    Newman and Redford

    Gleason and Carney

    Lucie and Dezi.

    (you can add your own)

  • Showed my kids vidios of Land H years ago and they loved them, they laughed till they cried.

  • bwahahaha!! his legs as he was falling down the stairs!!!!

  • They were last on BBC (2) regularly in Autumn 2004

  • Amazing comedys... Would still be good today ;]

  • The last word in comedy.

  • The excerpt shown is from the short film, "Brats".

It is now available on DVD.

  • Thanks to YT we can all easily enjoy the genius of these guys. Why these aren't playing on TV all the time is beyond me. It's profoundly funnier than the crap they show now.

  • Kids will love this video just as much as adults. Their shorts and feature length films up to 1939 are as funny NOW as they were made. So many people grew up on these films, and they forget how absolutely great they were, but they can tell you their favorites. TCM now owns the rights and they run them often but not often enough. Laurel & Hardy could bring huge ratings on TV. There are so many generations who have not yet seen them. They don't know what they're missing!

  • In the 80's & 90's, I would rush home from school or college to watch these guys or Harold LLoyd on BBC2 at 5:30 pm. My father and I watched brats and we cried and could not stop. The scene has got to be the stairs. NOBODY falls like that. I am cracking up now just thinking about it.

  • Timeless legends, always wanted to see the film where they both are dressed as kids, anyone know the title of the film?

  • 'one good turn deserves another' is my favorite, and also 'helpmates' the ending must be one of the funniest things i ever saw stan leaving olivers burnt out house after trying to clean up after a messy party oliver throws while his dragon wife is due back early

  • has any one got the one where they are painting thier boat . laurel gets his head stuck behind the mast that hardy tied him too or was it handcuff him too while he went off to buy more paint. so he tries to saw the mast to free himself with scenes of him getting close to sawing his kneck off and demolationing the boat... hillarious. i need to see this agin. i need good side splitting laugh at the momment. someone's got to have this.

  • As funny as the 3 stooges were a bit later

they borrowed many scenes from Laurel

& Hardy, but nobody could ever come near

them far as pure comic genius.

  • lol XD

  • i love these guys.the music box pure classic comedy....lol str8 funny.

  • Superb comedy. One of the few comedies and i mean few comedies that actually make me curl up with laughter i need to hide.

  • Now this is comedy. These guys were the best. Ya gotta love those facial expressions. Timeless entertainment!

  • Stan and Ollie has never ever been surpassed as being the greatest comedy duo of all time. Loved them as a Kid and love them even more now - especially 'Sons of the desert', 'Towed in a hole' and 'Busy bodies'. Fantastic! Love you boys!

  • cheapness

  • I was Brought up on Laurel and Hardy as a kid. Dad would take down a picture from the living room wall, set up the Super 8mm Projector, make popcorn, and we'd watch Laurel and Hardy. It was an event! Thanks Dad, They were the best and funniest. We still have a ton of these in super 8mm film.

  • Tell u what mate I'm the same cept it was just on the telly. I bought the full collection to share with my nephew and nieces. We've had 8 of us on one settee (like a lifeboat) laughing at them. Timeless & Priceless. Respect to your Dad.

  • please please have you got the one where they have gone down to paint olly's boat and stan causes ca-ouse. the scene where he saws the mast to release him self after being tied up by olly to keep him out of trouble while he goes to buy more paint. real gem.

  • It's called "Towed in a Hole"

  • @mattnbc00

    Fuck how old are?

  • @mwillis1000 Not very, 46, when I left the message. I grew up in the 60s and 70s as a kid. There were no VCR's until 1976-77 or DVD players. People used as their recording devices Super 8mm and standard 8, film camera's. We watched movies on a projector. People continued into the early 80s using these devices. I have a short reel of Star Wars. 400 ft reel of Alien and dad has the complete original King kong. This way, like a VCR, we could watch them when ever we wanted. hope this helps.

  • hhey aint boing

    they are legends

    re4ally fuinny

stan ism my grt uncle and he is sucvh comedy genuis

    sme goes to ollie

    rip both of youse

  • wow thats cool u are related so do u remember any thing about them ! i am huge fans like what were they like when they were alive?

  • haha these guys were geniuses

  • dont respond again

  • 1:31 lol

  • how do u get such a great video i alway have to record them on my phone nd upload them lol can anyone tell me how i can get a video like this uploaded plz ?

  • Even watching a silent clip of theirs from a sound film ("Brats") they are still hilarious. Of all my favorite classic film comedians (including the Three Stooges, the Marx Brothers, WC Fields, Buster Keaton et al), L & H are the two that, if their characters were real people, I would love to spend time with.

  • I love Laurel and Hardy, this is one of my person favourite or theirs (: Better then any comedian I have heard =D

  • Generation after generation still love Laurel and Hardy. I wonder how many of today's comedians could last that long.

  • i watched this so many times...it never gets less funny!

  • brilliant,my dad used to show the l&h shorts in the cinema,he had to stop the films every so often to allow the laughter to die down because no one could here anything!! :-O

  • Death1920, you seem to find that scene of Ollie bouncing down the stairs on his bum as funny as I do...

  • Yeah, I almost died when I saw that scene the very first time.

  • The first time I saw it, I almost couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard.

  • Seen this scene many times and it still puts me in knots of laughter !!! Hilarious !!

  • i love laurel and hardy.

  • Why is there no sound?

  • OMG! Now I know who Michael Schumacher looks like,..... STAN LAUREL!! OMG!! LMAO!!!

Great video by the way - thanks! :)

  • lol at 0:35 haha

  • ither that or saps at sea or mabe just love em and weep so funny

  • that is brats and i think that brats was one of the best laurel and hardy videos ever made a hahahahhahahaha

  • and stan laurel is from my end of the woods south shields in England beliv it or not im 21 years old and think this stuff is the most funniest thing on a dvd box set my gran ma and mother brought me up on such things like this along with dads army which i still need to get on box set Jerry god bless the golden oldies .love em and weep is by far the funniest one of all by laurel and hardy just that bit wen the women turns on the radio and stan and oliver flip out oh man

  • ...and you'll still think it is just as funny in 50 years time!

  • not south shields

  • This comment is for barson66. That is right Stan Laurel lived in North Shields, so he was at your end of the woods. By the way there is a statue of Stan Laurel in North Shields.

  • why not just have sound when uploading lol =s

  • At 0:44, the words they say are...

Stan: See what a little kindness can do?

Ollie: You're right. A little kindness does a looooong way.

Also at 1:43, the words are...

    Stan: It's my break.

    Ollie: It's MY break!

Stan: It's my break! You went in the pocket there....*thud*

  • Thanks...

  • When I was a kid, I saved my paper route money and bought a super 8mm movie projector, and used to borrow Laurel & Hardy movies form the local library. I couldn't get enough of them! I still think they are the funniest comedy duo in movie history.

  • what movie is 0:26? or episode whatever it is so funny!

  • All the clips are from the same movie, Brats (from 1930).

  • thanks!

  • this is totally weird but, funny too.

  • It's not weird it's true comedy, I don't even consider half the crap that comes out these days as true comedy. True Comedy is silly and fun, I mean just looking at these guys makes me laugh. The reason you don't consider it weird is because you're too modern.

  • He just means the way 'death' put it together.

  • Wonder why they never show these guys on TV any more? Seems like anything that was ever any good never gets shown.

Used to have me in stitches as a kid.

  • i love in tit for tat when the fella is nicking stuff from the shop.

  • LOL @ 0:55

  • I love L+H, got every thing they were shown in, in a big box full of DVD's, its ace.

What episode or movie is from? Whats it called?

  • Laurel and Hardy Brats

  • one of my favs lol

  • Stan has a real nice face when he smiles.

  • 5*. They're the best ever!

  • its a strange movie, how its such silly humor but when i watched it at my aunts i laughed my head off, even my dad xD

  • There seems t be a lot of anger here.

Not something I would expect on a Laurel and Hardy video,

Just watch the bloody video -.

  • Shinoman2, try learning English mate because you cannot talk english for shit, thick as fuck, you wouldn't no proper comedy even if it was to smack you in the face, tossa

  • Laurel & Hardy are great, but editing and messing around with them like THIS isn't.

  • Maybe if U didnt comment on here sayin there shit pple wudnt say in tht way...the way u commented waz jus asking for it... if u had to leave a comment u cud ave jus sed "i dunt realli find these guys funni no offense..jus nt my sense of humour" bt no u had to be an asshole nd say they were bullshit...TBH the onli person whu overacted waz u so SCREW YOU SHINOMAN2 !!!

  • hope ya die

  • im actually 18, and these are the funniest, most legendary comedians ever

  • its not weird humour at all. in that case, yoru arguing with millions upon millions of Laurel and hardy fans, uncluding actual comedians today, so your the idiot, and your the one with weird humour, you sad pathetic clown of a man.

  • You tell him! "You sad pathetic clown of a man" is a hilarious comeback. I think I laughed more at that than at the video. :)

  • haha. These are kings of comedy, I couldnt stand the thought of them being downgraded! lol

  • Excellent video quality! Looks like it is digitally remastered?

    Where is the sound?

  • Fraps + Windows Movie Maker, it is.

Sorry, I have no reason... :/

  • funny but i love chaplin

  • ssshhhh....quiet please.

  • Indeed, so shut up.

  • LOL

  • so funny what an exit from ollie.

  • The scene came from "Brats".

  • Wheres the sound ??

  • Just wondering where did the scene of Ollie and Stan as children come from?

  • its from a short film called Brats, its a great one :)

  • I don't remember the name of the short, but it was about the two of them babysitting their two kids while the wives went out to run errands. It's been years since I've seen it, so it's a little fuzzy, but I remember laughing my ass off at parts.

  • You're right.

  • From Brats, 1930...

  • sorry i had no place here to say dat im sorry im just a huge fan of chaplin

  • Well Stan Laurel was actually on the same acting company as Chaplin isn't that strange lol?

  • The world of cinema and film was a lot smaller in those days. To truly make it as a stage comic, you needed to get yourself associated with Fred Karno and his troupe. Both Chaplin and Laurel did this, but it wasn't much of a coincidence - it really was a small world back then. Still, it's nice to think that they were good friends.

  • they built all that stuff to scale! thats teriffic!

  • FUCK CHAPLIN!!!

  • er...so....really what you've done is take the sound off am i right?

(Gives an Ollie 'look' to the camera)....

  • Oh I'm sorry man. I don't even remember. :(

  • ahhhhh i remember watching those episodes on VHS when i was little... good times and i think i still have like 20 them =DD

  • lol i love ollie n stan

  • pointless without the sound and music

  • Thanks.

  • too bad no sound. with sound is always better.

  • Haha :D Nice classic fun movie!
