Kids will love this video just as much as adults. Their shorts and feature length films up to 1939 are as funny NOW as they were made. So many people grew up on these films, and they forget how absolutely great they were, but they can tell you their favorites. TCM now owns the rights and they run them often but not often enough. Laurel & Hardy could bring huge ratings on TV. There are so many generations who have not yet seen them. They don't know what they're missing!

I was Brought up on Laurel and Hardy as a kid. Dad would take down a picture from the living room wall, set up the Super 8mm Projector, make popcorn, and we'd watch Laurel and Hardy. It was an event! Thanks Dad, They were the best and funniest. We still have a ton of these in super 8mm film.

@mwillis1000 Not very, 46, when I left the message. I grew up in the 60s and 70s as a kid. There were no VCR's until 1976-77 or DVD players. People used as their recording devices Super 8mm and standard 8, film camera's. We watched movies on a projector. People continued into the early 80s using these devices. I have a short reel of Star Wars. 400 ft reel of Alien and dad has the complete original King kong. This way, like a VCR, we could watch them when ever we wanted. hope this helps.

Of all my favorite classic film comedians (including the Three Stooges, the Marx Brothers, WC Fields, Buster Keaton et al), L & H are the two that, if their characters were real people, I would love to spend time with.

The world of cinema and film was a lot smaller in those days. To truly make it as a stage comic, you needed to get yourself associated with Fred Karno and his troupe. Both Chaplin and Laurel did this, but it wasn't much of a coincidence - it really was a small world back then. Still, it's nice to think that they were good friends.
