I had exactly the same happen on my CX. Hadn't put loctite on the screws going into the feathering shaft. Main rotor separated midair. Both blades few out about 5 metres from the heli.
After that i pay attention to fly at least 20 metres from other people
Actually it wasn't too bad since he wasn' that bad. The blades were ok actually and only the boom was a little bit bent so we just bent it back to shape. All in all, just needed a feathering spindle bolt which of course was lost.

What wasnt locktied? "u didn't lock the blade grip screw?" I think they are nylock nuts if i recal.
I stripped my frame down when I got the kit as none of them had locktite in.
You gotta strip it all down and make sure!

Thank goodness it wasn't on a nitro 600 or even better a 90 raptor! The blades on those things are like 2x4s.
