  • Amazing...♥

  • How long does this take ?

  • wonderfull

  • this looks hard

  • mis respetos!!!

  • mis respetos!!!

  • i hate that stupid

  • i just watched a 3 minute long ad on socks running away

  • Sorry the fold at 2:38 NOT at 3:38 that was a typo

  • By the way I used 28 lb paper cut into 108mm squares. This is a little heavy for this kind of thing but is is what I had on hand. So I found out rather quickly that the fold made at 2:10 which is folded one way then back on itself at 2:30.If I reversed so the back fold (the one at 2:30) would be first and olny folded that way made the squash fold at 3:38 MUCH easyer. For the paper I was using.

  • I learned how to do a flapping bird when I was 10 but havent done any folding for 25 years. To follow this vid I paused at :42 and made 28 (thought I was doing 30) then watched to 2:00 and folded them all, then paused at 3:16 and folded all 28 to that step. I then made one block of 3/5 and added one piece at a time. making sure that the 3 are where they came together at a peak and the 5 at a valley. Almost finished and I was 2 short so I restarted the vid. By 3:16 I had made 2. NOT too fast vid.

  • oh man this is soo fast

  • great tutorial!!!!!!!

    at least better than others....

by the war, how long dod it take you to make this?

  • thenks man ;D

  • For some of you who think this video is too fast, just download it and play it in a vid program at half speed or whatever is comfortable for you. I think this is an excellent video on how to make Kusudama and I'm technically a beginner even though I've been folding for almost 2 years.

  • You go to fast I couldn't do it:(

  • @dacimuci its called pausing

  • I just finished mine. Came out great for a first try. Simple compared to the twinboat icosahedron. I like this classic assembly method better than the "improved" method. It doesn't requird paperclips nor does it bring me an immense ammount of frustration.

  • @BringerOfTruth123 I feel the same way and i am not a big fan of origami cheats i find this looks better also.

  • theres no sound and you to fast for each step.

  • umm you must work as an origami artist lol thumbs up if you think too.

  • it takes so long time

  • u lose me at pre creasing

  • put your hand over your mouth

    1.make a wish

    2.close your hand(fist)

3.put your hand (fist) over your heart for 5 seconds

    4. put this on three videos

5.tomorrow will be the best day ever

    It really works

  • with this method, can I use 12 sheet of paper ?

  • whoa slow down

  • This will take ! YEAR to do

  • hey was is the name of this paper and were you can buy it???

  • does this model have another name? and how many modules did you need in total?

  • super cool!!! tnx for sharing

  • while I had no problem making the units based on the instructions from the other video, the part I have trouble with is putting them together and this video seems like it simplifies that process significantly. Since I already started the "easier" way though I'm pretty invested, but I don't see how it's easier at all. The folds look fairly simple here and the construction (which is the hardest part for me) is much simpler in this video.

  • que bakan

  • I could not connact them right. I ended up crushing about half of it and it looked retarded. I need a video on how to connect them because this one doesnt explain it so well. Please help. : /

  • your going to fast man!!!!!

  • yeah i just made one it was so easy i have it memorized

  • the howcast always makes origami look so much easier but other people go to fast

  • you don't know how to make a video

  • your other video takes a lot more effort, even if it does look better. The half fold thigies are hard. if you are good at origami, this is the better vid becuase squash folding is very easy.

  • yo that shit is hella geodesic dawg

  • fuck these advertisements!

  • fuck u anny kuster

  • fuck you anny kuster you suck

  • fuck you anny kuster

  • thats rlly cool, i wd make it but i dnt have the time :( i didnt realise how popular origami is, u've had so many views :o

  • This is obviously impossible for someone likre

  • i shall dedicate my life to finding out the secrets of this object!!! >.<

    You need 30 modules

  • i like the ending product but can you make a slower paced video please?

  • How many do u need

  • can showing a more clearly video... tis got abit fast..

  • i made one and i kicked it and broke...

  • your like going really fast D;

  • 30..

    This may take awhile.. LOL

  • wa...?

  • nice i just made one

  • The light is to bright and i can't see what is happening in the paper...

  • you can put something inside of it and qive to ur signifacnt other ;D ... :O ima do that lol thankz!

  • yay!! mine took like an hour... but it looks great!! thanks!!

  • COMPLICATED MUCH! that was hard! took me how long just to do one but then it broke on me so i didnt bother to fix it

  • does somebody know what kind of polyhedra is it?

  • I ask myself who designed this Kusudama?

  • what are the dimensions of this paper

  • How many parts should be done?

  • @CiNdY9631 30

  • mee encathO se vee Lindisimo

  • The mini one is so cute ^_^

  • @IkeaPasta geish

  • hey, your videos are good :) CAN IT BE BIGGER? If yes ,how much more pieces do you need when?

  • vaya k wayy es bastante facil

    intentare hacer uno gracias

  • how many did he put on the small and the big

  • soooooooooooo hard

  • it`s beautiful

    amazing

  • Thanks for the tutorial! This was the hardest origami model that I have made, once I got to the last few pieces it was frustrating cause I didn't have any space left to move my fingers. But i'm happy with the results ;D this is the only kusudama that i've seen that you assemble from the inside out, others you have assemble from the outside it which looks easier.

  • Wooooooou! I love papiroflexia! And this is very nice!

  • It can be 12 also

  • i made that last night

  • awesome but maybe lower the brightness cause it was hard to see where to fold

  • ce om prost,da fa incetu sa vada si chioara d mineX(X(

  • amazing

  • wow i made a mini one, so cool!!!

  • imazing!!!

  • esta bueno el video

pero yo prefiero el papercraft jeje es otra cosa pero se usa menos papel jajaja

  • very good...

  • a little too complex eh???

  • pfft rookie

  • I accidently used 30 sheets of paper and mine turned out HUGE!

  • Can this be done using Kraft singles though?

  • Yep, but don't eat them all at once :D

  • @barbabellaatje no it can't their 2 fragile

  • @nmacgre WTF do u mean?

  • @nmacgre lol

  • it is unique

  • WooOuuu!!! qedO muii lindO

  • I like it =)

  • how many sheets do i need?

  • Did you watch the vid? o_O anyhow better use the other method by clicking link on top of this vid ; )

  • i tried with small paper...i mean smalllll...but it was mission imposible!!!i am now afraid to try with big size paper... doing the parts was soooo easy but to connect them...huh...dunno about that...

  • The Chrysanthemum is relatively easy compared to this one especially when you make it small... so better 1st get that one sorted before you move on ; )

  • do you even use too much paper dude.

  • u have to make 30 of these

  • no offense.... but do you do anythinglese, cuz if this is all you do then you dont really have a life. if you get what i mean dont mark this as spam or a bad comment

  • None taken! ... lol no, I have a quite demanding job, study in the evening and do this amongst many other things to relax... but to your point - even if it would be, I completely disagree! - if it would be only zapping YT/TV channels all day I just might agree - In my experience people who do things (in general doesn't matter what) with a (even a little) passion are more pleasant to be around - You figure out why that is!?... ; )

  • barbabellaatje

    thanks!

  • You shake pretty much ^^

  • it seems so easy but, i cant understand....how many colours and sheets i need?

  • 30 squares as many colours as you like 0_O

  • ---TIPS---

    - Imagine the hole between the first 5-piece ring you create as the polar opposite of where you will finish. Think of it as the base and evenly build up the sides.

    - Use a little glue on the leftover flaps in 2:02. Your Kusudama is still freely attached and can be assembled or disassembled at will. It saves a LOT of aggravation with the pieces popping apart during assembly.

-- If you can't figure the assembly out why, watch the video to see exactly what direction the pieces point.

  • Whoooooaaaarrrgggh!!! The "G-WORD" again!! ; )

  • i think i did it all fine up until the closing pieces and ive done it like 10 times and just made pillars D: i call them pillars of shame XD

  • I just successfully made one. Here's how I assembled it.

    1. Interlock the first three parts as shown in this video.

    (3:30)

    2. Use two of the three as part of an adjacent 5-piece ring.

    (4:00)

    3. Add one additional piece to each of the remaining 4 offshoots of the 5-piece ring. You now have 5 connected in the center and 5 on the outside (making 3-piece connections). You have to keep it slightly curved so it stays together.

    (4:10)

  • 4. Continue connecting the pieces in ONLY 5-piece and 3-piece rings. Each 5-piece ring is surrounded by 3-piece ones and vice versa. There is no alternative number for this design.

    5. When you near the full shape, the final piece or "cornerstone" if you will must insert both of its flaps into adjacent slots, as well as insert the remaining two flaps of the adjacent pieces into the cornerstone piece.

  • gah!! i have all 30 pieces but i cant put them all 2gether!! D: could u make a vid on how to put them 2gether 1 by 1 plz D:

  • 3:20 is pretty clear ?? insert pocket in flap if you made the modules correctly I am sure you'll figure it out ;)

  • do i start making them color side up or down at the beginning?

  • coloured side down ;)

  • cool i really like it, i might make it, but i hope i dont mess up.

  • I did all the units but I can't fit them together!

  • If you can fold the units and have the patience to make all 30 surely you will figure out how to put them together ; )

  • exactly how big is the starting rectangle

  • The starting rectangle used here is 16x16 cm (~6x 6 inch) it is kind of a special rectangle ... we call them a square overhere ; )

  • hahahaha

  • Easy and beautiful, thanks!!!

  • i can't put it together

  • people say it's hard. it's not. just follow the steps and you'll get it right.

it takes practice, but it's only for remembering the steps!!

  • way toooo fast and

    wayyyyyy hard D:

  • easy!!!

  • You dont even explain. Like all in all of ur videos u gotta speak man !

  • That's cool

  • way way way to HARD

  • these things are a little bit hard so hard that i could only make a softball sized 1 in my 8 hours of school

  • Nice..but a bit difficultly

  • where's the rest?

    i'm stuck

  • its cool buts it hard :P

  • very nice!! thank you!
