  • Loved the artistry of this video. And the creativity of planting the book jacket .... fantastic! Five stars to you. ***** Those who criticize do not appreciate the impact of iconic messages. Selling is often about the packaging, and by all rights, this book package should "sell" the message that lessening man's emissions is critically important to the future of all life.

  • did you whittle your bike from post consumer waste? And why are you using the roads and highways?

I'm going to go for a pointless drive with the a/c on in response to this video thus rendering your project a failure

  • Its funny when you try and make a difference on the planet and the chumps give you shit for eating a carrot when they are all eating big macs..'hey man, that carrot has feelings you know, chomp, dont you think that carrot has feelings, chomp, hey you just had a crash, better not call the ambulance cos then I will give you crap about using gasoline, chomp...

  • Hey folks,

Thanks for taking a look. Just fyi, if you follow the project you'll discover James is carrying all his own gear on tour, sleeping outside (typically at organic farms), using donated gear, eat vegan, and promoting a book that is made with 100% post-consumer papers. Flatmancrooked is also utilizing carbon offsets for things like shipping books and the like. We are doing the best we can in as genuine a fashion as possible.

P.S. - Your copy of Harry Potter was printed in China.

  • That bike looks just a bit too big for him

  • I respect you as a rider, but dude, you just hit a home run at the bottom of the 9th inning in the Douche Bag World Series.

  • so friend, zero emissions excludes the guy driving the car filming and whoever is schlepping your gear?

  • @ksetzer38 exactly. not to mention the emissions produced making all of his food, and the tubes for his tires, and the chains, and the bike, and everything else that was used up during his "zero emission" trip.

Just because you don't use gasoline doesn't mean your actions didn't produce emissions. This guy needs a lesson in thermodynamics

The best option would be to just stay home

  • @xxbondsxx I know a ton of folks who have biked down either coast or across the country...without a domestiquecar. so if the guy was claiming zero emissions and was riding with a touring bike loaded with his gear, I would not be giving him any grief. and damn, that guy goes through a ton of bike consumables....
