lol. His English is funny but i dont think all singaporeans speak like that :P If you listen carefully to Singlish speakers, his accent sounds way off. He sounds Thai or Malaysian to be honest
Singapore is great, I teach Singapore maths here in London at one of the best all boys school in the UK, and for the last 5yrs, the boys are becoming very competent, expresive, and get a hold of topics so much easier and faster than those students who have not. Students are at least 2 yrs ahead of their counterparts. We are now seeing the fruits of our labour, with our boys overtaking those a year ahead of them, because they have learnt Singapore maths only since year 3.
Good grief...who cares about his English?! The philosophies he shares about math and young learners are so important! It's about time math instructors listen and change their practice. Teaching for meaning and understanding before moving children to rote learning of math facts and rules is critical!
Since in Singapore there are three main languages one of which is English I think he speaks very well. The other two are chinese and mandarin. How is your Mandarin?
@tanjyeyee I massively disagree. He just doesn't speak with a western accent. He speaks grammatically with good vocabulary. i.e 'static', 'independently', 'prevalent'.

You know what's scarier than bad English? Thinking that bad English is actually not bad English but just good English with a different accent.
