  • You know what? I was listening to house music, this particular song had a boys choir sample. I love all music, I searched for "african boys choir". I cant believe how beautiful these young men, and their voices are. Simply inspiring. You fat fuckin lazy pieces of garbage can learn a thing or two. Yppu gondwa ginda hwa umalana hinna. (or close to it, anyways)

  • The Concert Choir of Kashmere High sang a similar arrangement of this song from 95 thru 2005. We also sang it in Ghana, West Africa in 98. I always wanted the students from my school to learn to sing in many languages. These children are just wonderful!!!!!

  • @kree8eve We are glad that we have a Father to trust. We are glad that we have a Father to rely upon Where was Jesus born? Where was He born? Bethlehem, the city of wonder. That is where the Father was born for sure. Praise, praise, praise be to Him. We thank thee, we thank Thee, we thank Thee for this day, Gracious Father. Praise, praise, praise be to Thee, Merciful Father.

  • ThousanFallingHearts, u know this song is in Nigerian Yoruba language. The correct lyric u referred to below is: "Awa yo aa ri baba gbojule". If u need further help. u can let me know.

  • @engr3os please, PLEASE, I need the lyrics of this song. I can read Yoruba but I just can't pick out everything they're saying. Totally love the song and would love to teach it to the young folks back at church

  • cools

  • WHERE WAS JESUS BORN? BETHLEHEM! WHERE WAS HE BORN? BETHLEHEM! NI BO LABI JESU? BETELEHEMU! NI BO LABI BI? BETELEHEMU!

  • My choir's singing this, but i noticed the smoothness of the sounds, and the pronunciation of some others. We pronounce the J as a y but they use it like an actual J. "Awa yi o ri baba bo jule" is "Awa i wa ri ba ba bo jule"

I always find it interesting to find something from choir sung by someone who actually knows how to sing it.

    They sound beautifuL!

  • @Rhynox14 Me too. It is a Nigerian Christmas hymn. The title is Bethlehem. I don't know more than that. Check out "Freedom Come" it's a South African choral song.

  • Is this Nigerian, not Ugandan? I think the language is certainly Bantu in sound, which is more East African than West African.

  • @riman0107 It is Yoruba from Nigeria

  • my choir is singing dis song i rly like it:)

  • @fuzzynuggetman27 I sang this in High School in 2005. Its a great song! I unearthed my song book the other day and I STILL LOOOOOOVE this song. You'll love singing it in concert. :] My suggestion to you, the solo for this song is easy for any voice part to sing. You just have to change the sound so that it fits your voice specifically. Do that on your own and when you come up with something you like and your voice sounds good singing it, sing for your director privately and see what they think.

  • omg thank god i found this vid

my school choir is singing this in our winter concert(dec. 10 can't wait!) but now I could practice at home though I already knew it by heart.

  • Singing this song for our Christmas Choir Concert. I always have it stuck in my head! Even though I only kind of know the words, the tune is always there :) Great Job!!!

    Musica la mia vita.

This song makes me cry everytime I hear it. No joke. You should hear the Capital Univerity Chapel Choir sing this. It takes my breath away.

  • Far superior to Kidz Bop.

  • Kidz Bop doesn't really even compare, does it? xD

  • Please don't even put them in the same category as kidz bop. There are two major differences. Kidz bop sucks this is some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.

  • ...you basically just regurgitated my point, but hey, I'll let it slide.

  • Children's voices, oh how sweet! This is so beautiful! Such talented children.

  • I really like the acappella sound. Very nice. This is what Christmas music should be like, instead of all of the popular sound. I like the foreign language, too! We can all praise God, and He understand it all! How marvelous! :)

  • This was played continually throughout christmas. Thanks to who ever uploaded this! So refreshing after tacky christmas pop songs, and dreary choir carols. This has real soul.

  • You're welcome! (:

I'm glad someone else could get something out of it besides me. It's just gorgeous.

  • they sound so amazing!

  • I know, I wish my chorus had sounded that amazing.

  • Beautiful!!!!! I love it!!!
