@toddsmitts this was literally something i threw together in an afternoon of boredom. my reasoning was that fans might enjoy the link to Archer and his Enterprise, and if the fanfiction had been completed, Archer would have been a 'Special Guest Star" character. The reason Trip isn't in it is that the story would have fit in with the post-Enteprise relaunch novels and his absence explained therein.

You don't understand what canon is- do you?

Canon is what the shows and movies use, and what the Star Trek Enclyopedia is based off.

It's scripts, production notes, the shows themselves and the movies.

The novels aren't canon- therefore Columbia did not actually crash into the planet in the proper canon universe of Star Trek.
