@stranglemuffinman654 yes technically it is almost the same expect that the ball is much lightier, stick too and some different rules. But technically , yes.
@megaabbe123 Nahh.. and how many years have floorball been played in sweden and finland? Sweden about 50years and Finland about 25years.. So you swedish has atleast 25years moar experience than us Finnish who still beated you! x) you can look how USA plays atm.. its sorta new in there.
@guardion2 Yeah, couching and stuff..?? It's like if someone, who wouldnt have seen a car before, was given a car and his mission was to drive it to some place and then to another person who has a teacher that knows how car works..
@Mrsuperdestroyer That doesn't matter because this sport is for homo's that can't skate, are afraid of a solid rubber puck... instead the use some cheap plastic looking wiffle ball and are afriad of getting checked/hit... just saying ;)'
Dude that's bullshit, everyone of your recor speeds.... If 180 km/h is OFFICIAL World Record, how the hell you from Singapore which is not a Floorball country like Finland,Sweden etc. you shoot 196 km/h???? And nobody, nobody 14 yrs old can shoot 177.5 km/h... Sorry to say that but i do play Floorball and one of the best junior floorball players i've EVER seen, shoots 121 km/h and he's 16. He's not that hard shooting but no under 18 yrs can shoot over 150.... unless he's a hockey player.
When I was on a floorball camp we had a competition shooting as hard as you could, one of the guys there shot 177.5 kilometres/hour and he is only 14. That might be a world record. :]
are those hockeysticks like those hockeysticks from school? or is it diffrent. and does those blades already been bended? and can you make those sticks out off schoolsticks?
Schoolsticks tends to be cheap and bad, buy one from the store and they will be bended and ready most of the times, 99 percent of the times you'll get a ready bended hockeystick. And no you cant make these out of school ones, I dont know what sticks your school has but ours sucks. Buy a proper.
Yep, It's called floorball. Don't know why the sticks are so short. Maybe cause the idea from the beginning was thought as sport for those who couldn't afford to pay for all the hockey gear. And without skates on the feet the sticks have to be shorter. Maybe that's the reason.
I don't think this clip it supposed to be reproduced on Youtube... However, if the remaining material on that DVD? is as good as this sequence; this is good publicity. You embed the link on unihockey[dot]ch and other floorball forums.
its easy!

@IxAMxCOLDNiNjA And hockey are for people who can't go out and play without protection on every part on there body, or what?
C'mon, it's two DIFFERENT sports, no need to argue about which ones the best.

Sticka are short to make the ball controlling easier, its harder if its long. Tho this kind of shot isnt very accurate. Floorball ftw

sticks are short cos firstly, you aren't playing on ice-skates so you'll be shorter
secondly, its a foul if u lift the stick above your waist (i.e. high-stick foul)
