  • Nice fish man, check out my video also. might be fishing the same lakes. haha jokes

  • lovely boys

  • Very nice pike guys and nice video. Did you get a length on the pike? THANK YOU for the CATCH and RELEASE, because of TRUE sportsman like you guys, our future sportsman and woman can enjoy the wonderful sport of fishing. GREAT JOB!!!

  • Forget all the arguing ! nice pike & what rig was you using???

    UK

  • nice fish man.

  • Beautiful fish man. I hope to land one like this ice fishing some day. Great job... Good C&R practices, the environment thanks you.

  • Thats a pretty big northern pike, I've never seen one that fat. Nice vid guys

  • Cudo`s to catch & release nice shark.

  • why would you let a 27.5 pound nothern pike back in... that was a trophy man :)

  • Right on! You let him go for another day. Way to go.

  • that is a SLOB, look at how fat that is

  • Dude, bravo to you for trying to hand-line that boar. I tried to grab the line on my last 30 incher and cut my finger DEEP when it went for a run. Powerpro Spectra is bite resistant (no leader to land it) but it cuts like a saw. If I had pics when I got the stitches I'd post them. Maybe they're feistier in the summer?

  • what in the state u fucker let it go after u caught it .. that just stupid cunt ...... fuck . wasted of fucking time...

  • @cuong19866 Of course he let it go you dumdum, dont you want to go catch that??? ITS CALLED BREEDING! A pike that big is needed for the enviroment to ensure proper reproduction...but you wouldnt know that, your probably a poacher..

  • nice one

  • yummy fried with beans n potatoes mmmm

    garden hill manitoba style

  • beautiful pike !!!!

In Poland, these have long disappeared

  • @ianfreq thats because you,s over fish everything!!! no wonder!!!!

  • good relese but to tell you the truth i would have kept it

  • lovely fish

  • @vikingspurple28 ur gay

  • @vikingspurple28 Fuck you homo! You need to let the big females reproduce. Catch and release all the way!!

  • @thegrouchyfish They're not tuna asshole.

  • @thegrouchyfish how du u see if it is female or male?

  • @Ricocheato if its over 10 pounds its a female

  • great catch and video. That is a beautiful female. what i like most about your video and you guys is the RELEASE.

I've seen some spearing videos and they make me sick. michigan still has some big pike, but i know quite a few lakes where they have destroyed the pike population by spearing. we need a notch limit: ie over 22 but under 30 inches to protect the genetic monsters.

  • what are you weighing that thing with, a zebco?

  • y would you let him go lol nice fish

  • Youn can compare them as to being cousins, both in the pike family. Not quite as big as canadas but we love em here in MN. Was out with a guide around black duck, won't say the name of the lake because it fairly tucked away. He pulled in a 48" pike weighing 36 pounds. Missed the state record by around 8 or 9 pounds i believe. Most incredible thing i've ever seen

  • are pike the same as musky?

  • almost muskie get bigger. markings are different. color etc...

  • no they are not

  • what song is in the backround?

  • Man that things got a gut on it!

Now thats a Pike right there! Nice fish, very nice.

  • nice fish

  • great fish =)

can anyone tell me the songname ?

  • SHE'S A BIG BOY

    SHE'S A BIG BOY!!!!

  • i'd eat it and then get a replica made

  • dats a fat fish right their

  • Fun stuff...thanks for sharing.

  • Im not being a smartass, im just asking, how big does a fish have to be before you fuck up its spine by hanging it in the air?

  • nice catch ande release !!!!

  • She's a big boy.

All those days spent skipping school to go fishing are starting to catch up with you.

  • Wonderful and beautiful Pike

  • yeah disrespectful assholes like you do that type of thing. You NEVER EVER kill a fish that big. Get a replica mount, don't kill the poor girl.

  • hahahahaha what? "SHE'S A BIG BOY! SHE'S A BIG BOY!!!" dumbass

  • nice 1 eh

  • Big boy would be a he not a she

  • shes are bigger because of eggs in winter its perspon

  • Catching a releasing is like scoring a girl and sending her home before having sex...

    I just dont get it.

  • i think its like fuckin her and then sending her home without getting her pregnant

  • Haha, fair enough :D

  • i think its better. fucking her, blowin in her. getting her pregnant. then she finds out it was a one night stand and you gave her a fake name.

  • after catching and releasing a fish he or she is probobly confused but what u expalined is like a WTF moment lol

  • Catching and releasing is the true sportsman's way. It's all about the battle and the satisfaction of knowing you bested nature. Not needlessly killing a trophy fish that could propagate several more generations of potential trophies if you released it.

  • I have never, ever needlessly killed a trophy fish. Every single fish I ever caught has become dinner for someone. Granted, I am first and foremost a spearfisher, so I guess we have a different outlook on things... but please dont lecture me about being a "true sportsman".

Don't get me wrong, if you enjoy catching and releasing thats fine by me. Its just not my thing.

  • If you are in a state of poverty or live in a economically poor region and cannot afford to purchase your own meals, by all means, fish and eat your catch even if it is of trophy status. Otherwise, release trophy catches and take your food from the general population. Besides, the best fish to eat are usually of 'average' size anyway; the longer a fish lives the more toxins it absorbs.

Clearly we are of different opinions, so perhaps we'll just have to agree to disagree. Not so bad.

  • Sure thing. Agree to disagree is fine by me :)

  • Awesome guys!!! Simply Awesome!!!!

I was even most amazed and very pleased to see you release it as well. Very impressive. Have fun out there boys!!!

  • Thanks for letting her go!! That's sweet!

  • I have gotten a 24 pounder! But wow, thats insane, good job! Btw, looks like you need a bigger auger!

  • nice the biggest one ive ever caught was 39" and weighed like 11 pounds i cant imagine a 27.5 pounder...especially through the ice ive never caught one on a rod through the ice just tip-ups were going up to the st. lawrence this weekend hopefully everything pans out

  • "She's a big boy." That makes no sense.

  • iamalmightyme, what are you dumb? What he REALLY ment is that he is a big girl !!!

  • i was just gonna say that...make no sense at all

  • nice fish guys, for the guy who kept calling it a "big boy" male pike never really get above 10-12lb max, and for the people who say it should have been killed as big pike eat bass/perch/walleye, big pike also eat small pike, if you remove the big uns there are more small, fast growing hungry pike to feed somore of your precious bass etc will be eaten, leave nature to sort itself out dont interfere

  • nice job guys! grat fish!

  • nice pike

  • song ??

  • 'do it for me now' by angel and airwaves mate

  • amazing

  • rortvev are u retarded? he obviously did not put the scale hook through the gill plate but throught the bottom lip of the fish u dumb fuck. the fish was fine

  • "She's a big boy "Seriously? Shut the fuck up man.

  • That's a horse.

    Congrats.

My buddy just caught a 41 inch muskie in 4 fow that I yanked through the hole for him.

Two days later on Simcoe we got a 31 inch lake trout.

Headin out in the morning for some perch.

    Tight lines geeks.

  • Nice. I'm going to Bay of Quinte this weekend for some pickerel and perch. Not want a lung or pike though, or that's it for catching the pickerel lol. I always though Simcoe was a little scary because of all the stories. Is it better?

  • where do you go out for perch in simcoe? me and my dad were headin out of jacksons point at the 4th tree line and we couldnt keep the line down without hittin one. all day long just perch. where have the lakers been good this year?

  • How can she be a "big boy"???

Like you big boys are a "she"..?

  • I like that u guys let it go Nice job guys

  • Comment removed

  • nice catch and release, gotta respect that, i dont understand y people dont respect the larger northerns, get a picture and a replica mount

  • It's a freakin' pike, we would've CBR'd (catch, beat, and release) a pike that size on my home lake, because not only does it eat walleye and perch, but bass of all kinds as well. 'Tis no better than a northern snakehead.

  • dude you are a dumbass... you realize the reason your stupid ass lake isnt filled with a ton of little fish its becuase of the northerns and muskies... plus who gives a shit about catching perch....

  • if you want a good fight then go for northerns or muskies. if you want a good feast then go for perch. northerns taste like shit and are a pain in the ass to filet. just my opinion

  • They're a pain in the ass if you don't know what you're doing. I can fillet them with just a bit more work than a walleye, and they taste better. The guides in Canada pretty much agreed with me on that one.

  • im from canada and everyone that i fish with or see on the ice agrees so to each ther own

  • The guides in Canada agreed with you that Pike tasted better than Walleye? Uhhhh.... no.

  • Pike flesh is nice and flaky, and walleye is bland. I've eaten hundreds of BOTH. Yes, where I was, in northern Manitoba, every guide I talked to preferred pike over walleye.

  • I don't think 'nice' is a very convincing adjective... Pike flesh is actually very dry.... so it would make sense that it flakes. Also, walleye meat is FAR from bland...

I guess it is 'to each his own'.

Either way, I like fishing. :-)

  • Bass= Shitfish compared to Pike.

Smallmouth are respectable, but not even remotely as impressive as a Pike.

  • shes a big BOY??!?!

  • thats not a wall hanger.... not where i live...

  • I wouldn't have put that fish back... all the walleye and perch that fucker prolly eats, great job catching it but man that was stupid to let it go

  • Why on earth would you throw back a wall hanger like that?

  • whats that song ???????

  • Thank you for the catch and release!! A true fisherman right there!! Cheers

  • Its definitely not gonna survive, with a pike that big the internal organs will be ripped apart when its hung vertically.

  • so based on this, you are saying that everytime a person gets in a car accident, they will die, because their organs get pushed around and smushed inside their body?

    Nice fish!

  • I caught a perch bigger than that once. It was just over 28 lbs. I had the perch mounted.

  • LOL

  • I was being sarcatic. Very nice fish in the video.

  • I know you were being sarcastic....I just pictured someone mounting a perch. Very nice fish in the video.

  • good job very happy to see that the pike was put back

  • Nice fish mate, maybe u should consider a weigh sling and unhooking mat (respect)

  • Damn look at that little pole LOL

  • it's called an ice fishing rod buddy... we use them in the winter because there's no need for a full size rod. you're not casting at all when you drop a line through the ice. they're a hell of a lot more efficient

  • Nice job, huge pike, and safely returned to be caught another day......

  • crazy big fish

  • nice job fellas. where did you get this hog? thanks for releasing her also.

  • they put the pike in there them selfs

  • Hey guys, Ive seen a few videos that you have made and I have always thought about making videos myself. We do a ton of bass and pike fishing and have caught 20 pound pike before and catch lots of 15-18 pounders in maine. Great video. where are you guys from, and where do you fish?

  • She´s a big boy... dumbass!

  • Great fish. Good to see you return it.

  • nice! through the ice is so fun!

  • nice catch i must have had a oh almost 15 pound pike but it broke my line :(

  • oh i will as soon as i catch the stupid thing

  • nice job guys. nice fish, well done.

  • I thought my 5 pounder was big...

  • nice !

  • I had a fish just like that today I had it for 5+mins till i got near us then there for 5+mins then DPOPPED I AM SO SAD :'(

  • SHE's a big BOY? Haha, great catch though. Nice job

  • thats tight...nice

  • thats a northern for sure!!! and a nice one at that! nice catch and good job for letting it go!

  • hate to break it to you guys but thats not a northern pike northern pike are red

  • well you should put a vidio of one of those red northern pikes or yellow with pnk dots

  • i don't know where the hell you're catching northern pike, but you need to get your fish checked out. that there was definitely a northern pike. i don't think i'd be eating whatever the hell you're calling northern pike. dumbass

  • dude its just a comment calm down its obvious you have no frikin life so shutup loer

  • nice fish lads

  • Where did u catch those?

  • Must have been a weak fish. Its the dead of winter she had no fight

  • What would you do with it. Certainly not eat it. I suppose mount it but youre best bet is let it go.

  • i could understand if it had eggs in her.

  • why would you release it!!!

  • This way, other people have a chance to catch it.

  • and you released it!! nice to see!!!

  • Nice fish. I seen alot of 15 pounder and it is way bigger than 15 pounds. How long was it. Even if it was shorter than a regular 27-28 pound pike, that fish had a huge girth. Good luck on catching the provincial record pike. hopefully you can catch it this summer to add to your records list.

  • The pike was 44 inches long. The scale was certified at igfa and failed, it tested low, so the fish actually weighed more. If you look carefully at the vid you can see the scale pass the half mark, it's a 50lb scale. :-)

  • O that's cute, your up late friday night watching youtube vids. LOL. If you think that fish is 15lbs, they your IQ musn't be that far off. lol

    Take care bud

  • I honestly doubt hes gonna sit there and waste his time callin out a fake number of pounds just to get views on a vid... its a big fish either way it dont matter.... he has it on tape lol

  • that is NOT a 27.5lb pike.

  • The fish will go blind if its eyes are in contact with the snow or ice for too long. Treat your fish better.

  • what is the best bait for pike?

  • Thank you for releasing that fish.

  • so sick of people talking shit about the way anglers treat their catch! If they actually cared and thought about the issues that enraged them. They would approach the subject a little more tactfully in hopes of educating other anglers rather than attack them and put them on the defensive. Great vids, you guys are an inspiration to all other young saskatchewan anglers! keep it up!

  • The fact is that, a real angler who really knows what he/she is doing will know how to handle a fish properly. Anything less than proper handling of a fish, just shows that you really do not respect your catch.

  • so what you respect it tell me you respect every fish you catch cuz i sure dont

  • Great fish! I saw nothing wrong with the way that was caught and released. Great fish!

  • is this at Diefenbaker?

  • Great video. Are your prices still the same on your trout tours?

  • We haven't decided to guide for pike or walleye yet, we will be seeing how 2008 goes with trout fishing, you can keep posted from our website throughout the year to see how things are going. ltr bud.

  • Thanks for the info dude. lol

  • I agree, also never pick the fish up with your hands in the gills esp if you plan to release it. That fish prob died. Anyway, was a nice fish.. good catch thks for posting

  • The bomb!!!

  • You need to go north, you catch at least on pike that size each trip in the yukon...not joking

  • Nice to see its released :)

  • y would you release that?!?!

  • r u fucking kidding me? people like u and thedrummer141414 make me sick, killing it and mounting it is the shittiest way to show sportsmanship, get a reproduction, they last twice as long and look a hell of alot better

  • why the heck would u release that im not saying mount everything but that is a true trophy

    nice fish though

  • yea first thing never pull on the line if its trying to fiht

  • clearly you are wrong, they caught it, so thier method worked fine.

  • should have used a weigh sling really, to hang a 27lb fish off its lip cant be good for it, well done for the release though, cracking fish, good stuff!

  • Big props to you guys. Catch and release is a beautiful thing.

  • wow im so gald you guys released it that was an amazing catch

  • That was a very beautiful pike you guys pulled up from the ice. You must of have a great day out there.

  • Y DID YOU LET HIM GO!?!?!?!?! and where r u fishing at
