These Canadian infantry/LAV's are similar in armament to a USMC LAV company. LAV is great unless/until you start to encounter heavy IED's. Or competent RPG gunners. In any case, thanks Canada.

Actually, our LAV's are superb dealing with IED's. The armour, while weaker than a tank, is still considerable and its slope adds a great deal to its effectiveness.

Unfortunately the thing about IED's is that they can be as big as a bomber wants and have been made large enough to take out any vehicle, tank or no tank.

All in all, I'd much rather be in a LAV than in any of our earlier APCs and I don't personally envy the tank boys one little bit.

Actually, the LAV is Canadian made, and the US bought them off of us.

@barbellboy Don't need to buy attack helicopters. Canada is a level 3 partner with Lockheed Martin and will be purchasing F-35 planes. They will be more capable than an Apache and Cobra.
