This is a spin off of JKD. I think MMA is better for the street buy adding finger strikes, head butts and groin shots. KFM is another marketing product like other fitness products out there.
@killsforcash valid question, the stance is very low to make you a smaller targetand cultivating a 360 degree awareness...more importantly though, its extreme close quarter fighting using silat, kali and JKD in trapping range...and honestly most street thugs don't make body shots, they'll aim for the head, its instinct...you look stupid when you're doing the pensador, granted, but its not meant for boxing; bear in mind this is my interpretation of what I've seen and studied :)
@killsforcash They say they work in all ranges and with or without weapons (usually improvised ones)...they do have disarms; most of them seem to just spring off the street trapping grabs...I'm currently only studying the white grade (1 of 5) so I haven't seen EVERYthing, but I'd check out their site to get a better feel
