  • My mom had one of these from 1988-1995. I remember it like it was just the other day.

  • lol my friend has one and it rides pretty rough but the seats make up for it lol

  • Search for the Dynasty Theme 1981 - 1989. Mute this commercial and start both at the same time.

  • My grandma bought a 1989 dynasty the year I was born, so I remember good times in it. My mom inherited it but hardly drove it too, and now its mine! It just needed a few repairs and now runs great, with only 90,000 miles on it.

I believe it was one of the first cars with a throttle sensor to maximize fuel. If you own one and it has a "kick" in a certain speed range, it just needs a new one for $40. Its a common problem but easy fix.

  • @thelaurelbush wtf, i have a 92 Fifth Avenue and it has that kick, so it's the throttle sensor?

  • @miikee90 Yes. And now I know more than I need to from an engineering class on measurements. It senses changes in displacement. When it is working, it sends a signal to the computer to adjust the engine speed.

  • 167,000 Miles on my 93' and still rolling. Great car, great times.

  • i am currently driving a Dynasty, and it is a great car, but its age is showing. over 200,000 kilometers, runs great,no work on the engine. good car for filling with 6 people then bottoming out at every turn.....but its still a great car

  • Wow! A car made for clean, straight , sober adults... whish they still made 'em.

  • Yeah, they don't have that anymore. Only cars for drug addicts. Sorry.

  • I had a white 1991 Dodge Dynasty with a leather covered rear outside pillars when I was in Rochester, NY from 2001-2003 (I was only 11 at the time). My dad loved that car, so did my mom and I. *Sigh*, they just don't make cars like they used to :)

  • I own one. 90k miles on it had to have the computer replaced cause it was messing up the shifting but it is so comfortable and so smooth. Not quite as good steering in small places but for a 20 year old car very nice.

  • The bad steering actually makes this one of the easiest cars to drive while drunk. You have to really swerve the wheel a lot to appear drunk! Haha. I couldn't even drive through a fast food drive through once! So funny.

  • This is a home run from Dodge, very comfortable car to ride in, My grandfather made a great choice!

  • I had one of these. This thing cruised really well, even for an 18 year old car.

  • It's one of the best looking boxy cars of the past 20yrs. I like!

  • Yeahhhhhhh, Dodge Dynasty ROCK!!! More than crappy import shit! MOPAR OR NO CAR!
