Can you make a video on how to convert the flash file to other movie formats? I'd like to be able to create some to DVD (NTSC preferably) to watch on my TV.
If you want to do this the CLI way... (in terminal)
cd /tmp
ls
cp Flashblablabla ~/Desktop/filename.flv
Basicly you change folder to /tmp, list the files, then copies the file named Flash(something) and renames it with the extension .flv to your desktop..
I prefer using a GUI because I usually watch multiple YouTube videos at once, and the file names that are given aren't descriptive at all. That's where the screenshot the file manager shows comes in handy.
This is an alternative to the add-on you mentioned.
I don't understand why you wouldn't want to access the files through the GUI. I used the GUI in this video because it is what many new Linux users would prefer, and it is easier to see which file you want to save with the preview images. (In case you have multiple flash files open at once)
If there is some reason why accessing the tmp folder would be more safe through the terminal please elaborate, I would like to know.
It didn't let me play vid on firefox

Internet browsers use it to temporarily store files you stream. (like music and video)

Go to your /tmp folder and find the Flash file. Then just copy the file to your desktop. That's it.

Yeah, easiest thing in the world to do.

I will make that my next video.
I'll include Avidemux (graphical) and ffmpeg (command line).

Hi. I followed your suggestions. However the video saved does not have any audio. Can you suggest something to fix this? I'm new to Linux. Thanks.

I'm not sure why that would happen. You could always try the "Download Embedded" Firefox add-on. That might work better for you.

Sorry about that, my future videos will be more audible.

OMG, how could i have missed that! It's so obvious! Thanks!
