The Bible says not to fail to assemble yourselves together. When you gather together in a church to worship together, you gain strength from that unity of worship. You gain a spiritual family. You are still to ready and study at home, for it is like a friendship. If you don't nurture it, and talk to God daily then how can you expect him to hear you when the need is immediate. The bible says to pray without ceasing. Pray daily, read the word to show yourself approved.

....I hope this scripture helps clarify for you the reason for attending church. I know it's humanly natural to think of just ourselves and what we get out of it...but with Jesus it's never about just "me"...he was all about reaching to the lost. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues."
Amén dear brothers and sisters, this is the purpose of our lives, to worship Him who lay down his life and suffered the cross so that every one who believes and confesses Him as LORD will not perish but have everlasting life; this is to know God and the richness of his kindness, his infinite love and mercy. May He reach out to those around us at work, at home and all over the world!
@NoDisX because i don't believe in going to a building and listening to someone tell me whats right and wrong... i have attended church for over half my life and when i got old enough to start worshiping and reading the bible the on my own thats what i did and my parents support me in that decision... plus i have a very open mind to all religious views and beliefs and i like to explore those as well.
@Raspberrie101 it should be to listen to someone talk it should be 2 let god flow through you because im sure you no that the preacher isnt god so obviously its not him telling you what to do .im not trying to say what your doing is wrong thats just what i have taught and i believe it

were you a false convert? God is love, but he also loves justice and righteousness and thats why Christ had to die on the cross; to satisfy the law. Have you ever lied? Stolen anything? looked at a women with lust (adultery), used the Lord's name in vain (blasphemy), etc. What does that make you? I confess I am a liar, a thief, and adulterer, a murderer, a blasphemer, a coveter, an Idoleter, but I have been saved by the grace of God.

@NoDisX because i don't believe in going to a building and listening to someone tell me whats right and wrong... i have attended church for over half my life and when i got old enough to start worshiping and reading the bible the on my own thats what i did and my parents support me in that decision... plus i have a very open mind to all religious views and beliefs and i like to explore those as well.
