I used this wax on my .338 Lapua built on a CZ 98-style action a few weeks before my hunt for Mouflon in the Czech republic 2009. Glad I did it rained cats and dogs for two days while we were out stalking game. The water ran off my rifle barrel and stock like it would off glass. I like an all wooden stock, no varnish, applied three coats of the wax, let it dry for 2 weeks; buffing occasionally leaving a nice protective coat. My guide was impressed how my rifle with stood the rainy weather.
