  • Saw their show in Eugene OR two nights ago: Terrific! So I am thrilled to see this video.

  • @gloria97403 just got tix to see them in long beach CA in october. JAZZED!

  • This lady is bad what's her name?

  • just amazing, that is from the soul for the soul! And yes these women ROCK!

  • You can convert thiss or any youtube video to an mp3 at ezmp3grab..com

  • les machines à harmoniser les voix ont encore beaucoup a progresser !!!!!

    5*****

  • Just soul...the music of the SOUL.

  • Do you even know anything about the history of rock or even who this "classical band" is? They sang, lived and protested harder "rock" than any rock band in any arena - think rock as a verb - think rock as a way of life - think beyond a narrow prepackaged version of what a rock band is or looked like... if you take more time to learn instead of correct somebody - maybe you too can learn a little something about music

  • thanks for your comments.

it's probably pointless to argue music appreciation at length (that doesn't stop me, of course). some people think the only way you rock is by playing loud. but this, or bob dylan singing the "times they are a changing" or tracy chapman singing "talking about a revolution" with an acoustic guitar rock in a far deeper and far more satisfying way.

people who don't feel that aren't wrong (no opinion about art is wrong), but they sure are missing out on a lot.

  • no electric guitars, no drums, no bass and they still rock harder than any band in any arena.

  • @tishhead thats not rock...

  • i didn't say it was rock. i said it rocked. that's a good thing.

actually, in this case, it's a great thing.

  • are you sure?..the comment i see reads "they rock harder than any band in any arena"...thats a totally different thing..they are very good..but they dont "rock harder than any band in any arena"..its hard to do that when youre singing peaceful easy listening music

  • wow. you think this is easy listening music? i've seen enough bizarre comments on youtube so that it's hard to stun me. but you've managed to do it.

rock is about attitude, force and soul, not volume. i stand by my original statement.

  • I agree with tishhead. They rock the house at every performance!

  • @tishhead You are absolutely right in the literal and figurative sense

  • @tishhead They definitely rock. Obviously bands "rock" in different ways. I don't know why people on Youtube get so weird. These women ROCK.

  • Best a capella artists out there.

  • haha..this is something called "classic"..classic rock?possibly..but in this time and age?not rock..get with the times now things change..a classical band like this can not "rock harder" than todays music..as time goes on definitions change..rock isnt this anymore

  • You're right, Shadow: rock evolves. So does jazz, which this is closer to. There is such a thing as classic rock, and what

passes for rock today is nowhere near it

    in quality.

  • well thanks for agreeing book..tish doesnt seem to understand it -_-

  • brilliant.

  • Theheh!! EMGENY! THEHH

  • ysaye barnwell was just my conductor for all state a few weeks ago, and she is incredible!!! she can a low G.....

  • This is a true song for me... riding the subway in NYC

in the 80's - tears in my eyes hearing this heart felt truth. Now in a city in California hearing the new arrangement of "Stranger" - the tears and the truth of this song is stronger than ever. Great song, a great arrangement from a world class group - Sweet Honey In the Rock. Thank you! Yo Aisha! - 2009

  • Toujours un grand bonheur de vous entendre.... Quels talents!

  • Aisha Khalil is such an inspiration to me. She has so much energy and power when she performs.
