  • I've never like convertibles. Specifically, I don't mind riding in them, but wouldn't by one. It's mainly a privacy thing for me, I guess. Not to mention that most cars look better with a solid top (even some roadsters, IMO). I've always loved sunroofs, however. Looks like the targa would be a good compromise.

  • I never really liked the 911, I had a 924 a 986 and would in the future consider a Targa like the one in this video. But I also like the Cayman, now if only there was a super cool mix of Cayman plus Targa top, that would be quite amazing. You get the security of a closed top Cayman and still be able to put the top down/away for cool sunny days. I hope that some day Porsche looks through Youtube I am certain I am not the only one with this idea.

  • I always Hated the targa.

  • I've read that in the old Porsche 914 (which had a Targa top) you could configure the car to be open and then use it in driving rain, and stay dry. The aerodynamics were such that as long as you were moving fairly decently, the rain just never hit you. I read this in a review of a 914 by a long-term owner, who said that he would occasionally drive his 914 with the top down, while it was SNOWING, just because he could. Good heater and good aerodynamics kept him warm and dry.

  • @JETZcorp Completely true :) I miss my 914...

  • @JETZcorp Oh wow. Thats pretty interesting. I never knew that.

  • Beautiful car and the perfect balance of Convertible vs Hardtop. Perfect for areas like Reno-- protects against snow but perfect for summer--open the top early in the morning when it's 50...then as the day heats up, close the top and turn on the air

  • Love this car soooooooooooo much

  • My Favorite 997 lineup !

  • This is the perfect blend for the purposes of what i want. Since Porsche doesnt make a hardtop convertible "yet" and living in brooklyn, NYC...i wouldnt trust a soft top on these streets and the hardtop doesnt offer the open feel i want...this Targa offers everything, the classic hardtop look with the optional open-air freshness. Id get one in AWD and call it a day, perfect all-season fighter, the Porsche way!

  • Porsche builts the best engines in the world!

  • This car is the shiznikky!! Love it

  • Such beauty! If i were to get one, id get a dark forrest green. Thats the color i love it in the most.

  • I love the roof design on the Targa. Good job Porsche!!!

  • is look simple, however inside "James Bond car powerful engine" darn love this car...

  • mi dream car.

  • i actually tried one fuck all the stuf about it being a coverteble and a hardtop cuase its not. the only way you could notice the glass ia by raising youre head and looking at it.

  • damn, dude, try writing in english and making a point...

  • Targa is like the perfect car you can get... convertibles are stupid imo... and hartop arent open and airy enough... and seem kinda clustrophobic... this on the other hand... handling wise isnt compromised as much... isnt much worse than the coupe and gets all the qualities of a convertible with none of the drawbacks.

  • good car away ok ......................

  • my sis in law has a targa 4 with turbo alloys. its fookin bad ass. the glassroof just makes it perfect. 325 hp is enough power for anyone, any more is just daft. the 4wd makes it go around roundabouts like a dream. one day, before petrol is assisgned to the history books, i'll get my T4....

  • Combo of roof and cache, coolest car out there!

  • sexy

  • beautiful car!
