  • 6:09 "Go ahead Mr. Paul" regardless of side this was one class act all around!

  • Ya know, I like her. But that was funny when she asked "how cops would be able to detect if a driver was high on weed" LOL. If a cop can't detect it, then it becomes a moot point doesn't it?

  • It's offensive to assume that people need to be regulated if you believe in freedom.. but people have relied on the system in fear of it.

  • Conclusion: Baldwins, regardless of what side of the aisle they fall into are unmitigated douche bags.

Libertarianism is where I belong. I hate labels, but Liberal and Conservative are political epithets, in my estimation. I'm a Libertarian. I don't feel dirty saying that, either.

Hell yeah, Libertarianism, here I come!

  • Ron I fully agree with you on all sides of this. But I would like to see you, as well as other politicians, actually give a yes or no answer to someone's question rather than giving peope spin. Regardless, you still have my vote.

  • The definition of powned

  • According to Balcwin's logic, if a medical user smokes, he/she should automatically be on a path to harder drugs. Do you see cancer patients shooting up heroin or doing a line off some dudes junk? "Marijuana leads to worse things, that's just a fact, I don't care what anyone says..." - Steven Baldwin

  • Ron Paul = AWESOME

  • I get high by listening to Dr. Paul talk about freedom.

  • @jaredcisme That's it, that's it! I'm totally high by watching Ron Paul speeches on YouTube feeling for the first time any genuine hope for the future for this country.

  • I smoke herb, and Ron Paul has my vote not because I smoke. I'm voting for him because he is in it for america and by that i mean the people. That is something I haven't seen in any of the presidents that i have been around for.

  • Yes, because everytime i go out to a bar to hang out with friends it's because we are so massively depressed and cannot cope with the world. And when i'm at dinner with my wife and i have a glass of wine i'm just drowning the sounds of a terrible marriage. Alcohol is the devil and so isnt drugs. Get hit by a bus and take your broken logic with you.

  • Hahah Baldwin is Chonged! If I was American, I would vote Ron Paul... Wake up people, your being taxed to death and fooled by your government, born into debt deception, and slavery, losing your jobs and homes, Ron has the solution!

  • When did Baldwin change his view???

  • Wow......wonder why my friends and I never went on to harder drugs? We must be special I guess.

  • They test for dope and other illicit drugs through saliva analysis at roadside check points in Australia. If you have consumed any of the major drugs within 24 hours you lose your licence for a period of months. If people felt they had to take drugs then they could do it on friday and saturday nights and be safe to drive on monday. If you are prescribed with medical marijuana then you may need to get a lift to work. Common sense is still OK if used every once in a while.

  • @ISISMainframe to have smoked pot isint illegal here. driving just after smoking is which is fair enough. I would love to get to the point where can buy 6 beers and a joint and enjoy friday night footy and not be a criminal. Keeping out of reach of under 18's is more of an issue.

  • i like how Ron paul takes the lead after a dumb opening question.

  • Has anyone noticed that when there is a video about Ron Paul that is slandering him, that the comment and rating are both disabled? I just looked at two of them. Opinion censorship equals "Fear". I would post this comment on one of those sights but... well... you know... I CAN'T.

  • BALDWIN IS A FUCKING MORON. "FAITH" HAHAHA WHAT A DICKHEAD,,,GIVE HALF YOUR WEALTH TOO THE POOR AND LETS SEE HOW "CHRISITIAN" YOU REALLY ARE,,YOU FUCKWIT. "BORN AGAIN" YOU KNOW WHY ITSCALLED THAT,,BECAUSE ITS EASIER TOO CONTROL A "NEWBORN" THAN AN ADULT. I USED TO LIKE YOU,,,BUT THEN AGAIN.

  • Baldwin looks stoned haha

    Ron Paul 2012!!!!

  • WOOW this man is going to singlehandedly change everything ....I look forward to visiting a bigger verson of holland in the near future RON PAUL 2012 ;)

  • "I don't care what anybody says..." -always a good argument!

  • Stephen Baldwin face is like "well said Dr. Paul, well said..."

  • One of the funny things about this clip is the fact that Baldwin looks like he is high as a kite. Wonder what he is smoking?

  • Conservative view from Baldwin? Thought conservatives were into small government...spending and otherwise...

  • evaded the heroin question...but still makes a lot of sense.

  • @hotmexnica I think his statement saying he wanted to go back to giving the power the states to decide was his indirect answer to that -legalization and regulation vs illegalization and emergence of crime from the fact someone can make a criminal business out of it being not regulated

  • @MelMojares right now it's illegal and honestly all the people i know that want to smoke weed are able to do so. Legalisation would prompt a more reliable source of marijuana, you never know what you get from dealers or what shit the put on it....so i think legalisation would save goverment money and would make a more legal way for people to enjoy weed.

  • wtf i can't believe this actually took place. stephen baldwin had nothing to say. he just smiled the whole time. even joy behar had to cut in to help him out. is he really the best they could get to debate paul on this issue? i could have done better to argue against legalization and i'm for it. paul actually demeaned himself by agreeing to it. i felt like i was watching the animated film, "bambi vs. godzilla."

  • Arrogantly Stephen Baldwin arrogant, That he's asleep & full of crap. Booze & Tobacco kills

  • ron paul, you my friend dont have the fucking power to make change so dont lie. if u take obamas place u will only be a face for a corporation that have the americans a slave. IM NOT A AM OR CAN IM A PROUD MOHAWK FROM AKWESASNE AND THERE IS ONLY ONE LAW OF THIS LAND AND ITS THE GREAT LAW. THE KKK WAS 300 YEARS UNDER THE HOTINONSHONNI BEFORE THAY WERE EVEN A NATION. 1492 WHEN THAY CAME OVER THE THING THAY BROUGHT WAS THE DIRT BETWEEN THEIR TOES AND LIKE 13 OR 14 DIFFERENT DESEASES. MOHAWK W.S

  • Baldwin has no intelligent argument. He's a B Grade actor at best. Not a serious debater.

  • steven you look high,

  • @finsoto those brothers always look baked

  • I dont care what you say, I believe in personal responsibility and freedom. I dont need laws to tell me what I can and can not do. What ever happened to freedom? If a person wants to do something, they will do it no matter if it is legal or illegal. If a person is stupid enough to do something stupid, that is their problem. When you make laws to protect people from themselves, what you are doing is taking freedoms away from all.

  • @jacksblack1 I think they were also trying to add in protection to the public, thats why they brought up smoking marijuana in a car. accidents don't always just harm the driver, you know what I mean?

  • Alcohol and Drugs are excellent Solvents, they easily dissolve Marriages,Families and Careers.

  • @RATHAHONNI For this condition to exist, there has to be other problems already present. Alcohol and drugs, are usually the persons way of trying to cope with these issues. Eventually, they can not succeed and marriages, families and careers fail.

  • @RATHAHONNI do they dissolve marriages, families and careers any less because they are illegal?

  • Illegal marijuana leads to the use of legal alcohol? Sounds like we should let everyone smoke so they can move on to a more socially acceptable drug.

  • Ron Paul is right, if you legalized all illegal drugs tomorrow you wouldnt see a spike in Herioin use, would you start using Heroin tomorrow if it were legal?? NO. do you need government telling you that you shouldnt do it? NO, i would like to think you were smart enough not to do it. if you want to ruin your body and destroy your life by all means do it, they already have it bad, do we really need to throw them in jail and turn them into violent criminals?

  • @NHusic83 so true. very nice said.

  • God Bless Ron Paul....media and his enemies keep trying to make false propaganda's against him

  • freedom of choice

  • Lol war on drugs is a joke on the mere fact that the pharmicudical companies push their drugs on us 24/7

  • I did marijuana once now I only touch black tar heroin.

  • alcohol abuse is started from using alcohol at a young age, not from marijuana! That might be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. That is like saying being addicted to cigarettes at an older age is from robo tripping at a young age. First statement Baldwin said and already he is stating opinions that are not researched, biased, and have no proven background.

  • its a fact!! i dont care what anyone says i said soo so its a fact!! steven baldwin just looks like an idiot

  • The only failure bigger than the drug war is Stephen Baldwin's acting career

  • This title seems like it might be a lie, I don't see Baldwin change position at all.

  • Baldwin looks stoned out of his gourd

  • Why do we listen to actors opinions on policy? Can't CNN find an expert and not a born again Christian that looks like he's been snorting glue his whole life!

  • At least they are gentlemen. They both stopped talking when they started at the same time.

  • How dumb can Americans be and still get away with it?

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • "How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

    -Adolf Hitler

  • 2:18 I've been smoking marijuana for 22 years. I dont smoke cigarettes, I dont drink alcohol, I dont do cocaine, I dont do methamphetamines or heroin. No LDS or mushrooms either. The only people I hear this argument from are the people who have never used marijuana.

  • Ron Paul doesn't want to leagalize anything. He just wants it to be handled at the State level instead of the Federal level. One size fits all governing turns in to things like the alcohol prohibition act and back alley abortions. The States make up the Federal Union so why let Congress decide. Give the power back to the states and shrink the Fed.

  • Ron Paul isn't a doctor. He's a quack.

    Santorum 2012

  • Marijuana does not lead to worse things, and is not a 'gateway" drug. You know what is the gateway? The criminalization of cannibus and other drugs. This is how the real gateway works. Since weed is illegal, the users have to go through "drug dealers" in order to get weed. In many states, the punishment for weed is the same as other controlled substances, dealers tend to have more than just weed. They are trying to make a buck and will push their other stuff on you, the real gateway people.

  • God bless you ron paul, never even met mary but defends her freedom

  • Baldwin literally didn't state a single fact.

  • I dont give a fuck about Medical Marijuana or not, i dont give a fuck about it AT ALL.

However I will say, kids these days who only want to vote for Ron Paul because of Marijuana are fucking idiots. LEARN HIS OTHER POLICIES!

    RON PAUL 2012

  • @librarianeric Maybe you should actually read about Ron Paul's views ("Liberty Defined" is a good place to start) before resorting to name-calling and making yourself look fucking foolish. If you're one of those people that forms decisions based on the pro life vs. pro choice argument in a time of economic collapse and impending war, and relies on biased, outdated material to propagate the disproven "racist" claims, then you're the one that needs to get your head out of your ass.

  • A Baldwin talking about alcohol abuse? Wow.

  • Baldwin is such a smug A-Hole!

  • "People in Wanshington, who drink alot of alcohol, i can tell you that!!!!" ;) awesome ;)

  • Wow lol this guy's whole argument is based on "facts" that he asserts that are completely ill-advised and flat out wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • marijuana is a bad habit... just like smoking or drinking, but it is not as dangerous as many other things... why do we give longer prison sentences to a person who sells pot than to a person who rapes children?

Common sense is in Dr. Pauls vocabulary, is it in yours?

  • @catclifton "Common sense"! That's a laugh. Ron Paul admits that he doesn't believe in evolution, blames the Civil War on Lincoln and advocates the complete elimination of all worker and consumer protection laws, creating a de facto tyranny of the business class. He's an asshole and his followers conveniently overlook his racist, classist agenda. And he doesn't advocate legalization. He advocates leaving the issue to the States to decide. Big difference dumb shit.

  • @librarianeric you obviously have a lot of hate for Ron Paul and twist his positions to defend your own hatred of him.. But just to start he doesn't blame the civil war on Lincoln he said Lincoln could have avoided the civil war and peacefully resolved the differences between north and south... You are right though that Ron Paul wants to leave the drug issue up to the states.. just like the constitution says to. As far as your racism claims and business tyranny...LOL

  • @gjbarron41 I'm not twisting anything. Does he or does he not advocate the elimination of worker and consumer protection laws? Has he or has he not been resolutely opposed to the Civil Rights Act? Has he or has he not published (or allowed to be published under his name) and profited from vile racist comments in his newsletter? Ron Paul argues that slavery was an institution which was on the way out ... yet it remained central to the South's economy.

  • @librarianeric I'm not saying he isn't opposed to those, what you fail to understand is his reasoning behind his opinion. You misrepresent it as racism because you don't know what Liberty is. As far as the newsletters, what can I say he is a terrible publisher and should have read them before they were published in his name. We could argue the slavery point for hours I'm sure, all RP means about slavery is it could have been ended peacefully.. I know thats a hard concept to grasp

  • Baldwin looks like the stereotypical corporate tool with no soul.

  • Is it just me or does Steven Baldwin look stoned in this?

  • @TheBrianmcneal

LOL. On a more serious note, it wouldn't be the first time a crusader turned out to be a closet offender.

    To wit, Jimmy Swaggart.

  • @TheBrianmcneal probably because he has an iq of around 70

  • where did stephen's eyes go?

  • Baldwin was just mad at the end he knows he got shut down

  • SMOKING DOES NOT LEAD TO ALCOHOL ABUSE.

MY MOTHER WAS AN EXTREME ALCOHOLIC AND IT DESTROYED MY FAMILY.

FUCK YOU. IVE LEARNED FIRST HAND HOW THAT SHIT FUCKS UP YOUR LIFE.

    keep lying senyor dick head.

  • he dominated them on the Hemp issue. not 1 of them could say anything against Hemp. we borrow money from China to buy Hemp from Romania which our Soliders then use to fight the war on drugs where they arrest woody harleson for planting hemp in Kentucky. Hemp is a better BioFuel Crop then Corn. and it can be grown in Rotation with Corn. you increase the Food for the world and fuel for the world and Building materials for the world and Clothes for the world with HEMP. look it up.

  • In Amsterdam you can buy pot and they do not have any people in the prisons and no crime. Figure.

  • Common sense = never bringing up Bio-Dome to debate anything. Ron Paul is correct!!! Legalize it all, put the cartels out of business...

  • The ignorance of those who cannot see the harm that has been done to America, the people and the drain on our economy that this useless drug war has created baffles me. Ron Paul is a doctor. He is a Born Again Christian, a man of high morals and integrity. I am tired of the media twisting his message rather than taking an honest look and lending an intelligent ear to what he is saying. Ron Paul is right. I pray we can get Ron Paul as President 2012

  • stephen baldwin looks like a moron

  • fuck that baldwin bitch never liked him he's dorky looking fucker and his movies all suck.

  • There's something to prove when CNN has a DOCTOR debating a really bad actor on a medical issue.

  • 8:54 - middle of the screen - have you ever want to punch someone in the face this much?

    look at him!!!

  • @alphalives NO! hah

  • @alphalives Lmao, yes!

  • Comment removed

  • steven baldwin in a debate with ron paul?!..is like scooby doo debateing aldous huxley..only scooby doo is cooler then stephen baldwin..perhaps spuds mckenzie mckenzie would be a more appropriate choice..and really the original ditzy joishey shore gal as moderator?..cmon..this is like a bad flashback!!..ay yi yi!

  • Ron Paul holding a can of Dr. Pepper "trust me I'm a doctor".

  • @rayrayray911 RayRay holding a can of Coke "You got the right one baby"

  • Why is the dumbass from bio-dome on the same debate as someone like ron paul??

  • Why is alcohol legal --it is worse. Because prohibition laws produce gangs, mafia and violence. This is what you have today--especially in Mexico.

  • I smoke weed and I guarantee if i took a big hit of tobacco I'd have to pull over and puke. Tobacco gives me the spins and makes me sick to my stomach. A puff of weed makes you drive more carefully . It all depends on who you are though. Alcohol is horrible for you.

  • How could Stephen Baldwin and his dopey brother Alec have come from the same mother? Stephen is a strong conservative Christian who has good common sense and is mild-mannered and his brother is a hot-head liberal who is mouthy and crass...

  • @Sharonvg68 OMG, you can't be serious. Stephen Baldwin is one of the biggest morons on the planet. He's a total loser who's only claim to fame is his brother Alec, who is successful, caring and intelligent. Alec>Dogshit>Stephen Baldwin

  • at age 12, cigs and alk became my gateways...by 21, i pretty much stopped drinking because of the trouble that came with it. cigarettes were not so easy to quit...it took me 18 years to stop (my biggest accomplishment).

ive never had a problem with marijuana...besides the price for it and availability.

    ron paul 2012

  • ron paul is talking about anarchism.

  • I agree with Paul that drugs should be legalized, but not for the same reasons. We should always do whats best for the people regardless of that means more or less freedom. Freedom in itself is worthless, its what freedom leads to thats give it value.

If it turns out that we can create a better society for all by having some taxes and some freedoms infringed we should absolutely do it. Anything else would be dogma.

But in this case freedom does create a better society and we should legalize it.

  • Baldwin...failed B actor and now trying out as a suck satan's Zionist, jesuit, dick Politician, he has maybe 3 points to debate and has not a clue about any of them, you can see dumbass V intelligence here and Dr Paul....you Sir win hands down.

  • @urwholefamilydied When I said that, I wasn't just referring to Baldwin-- I'm talking about anyone who refers to him as "Mr." Paul instead of congressman or Dr. Paul. It drives me mad to see him degraded on a daily basis and that "Mr." title has become pretty symbolic to me of his mistreatment in the mainstream media. Sends a chill down my spine whenever I hear them try to dilute his credibility like that.

  • Why Baldwin he is the dumbest person I ever saw interviewed. Marijuana is one of the most studied drugs ever.

  • Drug cartels (Big Pharma) don't want legalization! Baldwin isn't a doctor and doesn't know shit from shinola and unless he has the kind of pain that no FDA drugs can alleviate, then he should STFU. Doctor Paul KNOWS about the effects! Baldwin is against everything out of ignorance, because his brother is a hard core drug addict! I have one as well, but don't throw the baby out with the bath water! I don't smoke it, but I know it has medical benefits regarding pain when eaten.

  • What's annoying is how both the host and Baldwin are all facetious in response to Ron Paul.

  • Thousands of deaths if marijuana is legalized really. Have one person drink a six pack and another smoke 6 joints and lets see who can drive better. 150,000 die from prescription drugs thousands from alcohol 0 from Marijuana.

  • x1 -- you're not the only one who gets annoyed when people are rude enough to call him "Ron" or "Mr Paul" but you have to consider the source ;)

  • Baldwin didn't just get shit on in this debate, he got diarrhea-d on. " Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." (Edmund Burke). I love when Dr. Paul gives the history behind his statements.

  • Baldwin is right that it's a matter of common sense but he fails to realize that the sensible thing isn't to ban it, the sensible thing is simply not to DO it.

  • he had it all good but he fkd up in the end he should of just admited he smoked lol what a G though

  • I kinda liked the movies he was in until now.Now I couldnt give a dogs dick .

  • @43894674126438564036 i wish i could thumb this up a billion times

  • The only reason why marijuana is a 'gateway' drug is because my dealer carries other drugs too. Here, have some free samples he says...but then.....

  • i dont smoke weed but i think i shoud be able to if i want , ron is correct here

  • 'Marijuana leads to doing worse things'. So.. like alcohol, which isn't illegal.

  • I wish Milton Friedman were still alive. He would just kick the governments ass. Maybe we should give Ron Paul a Nobel prize then people would bow to his obviously superior intelligence. People don't respect logic. They only respect authority. This is why America is becoming an authoritarian state and rejecting true authority. LOGIC

  • Umm...How did Stephen change his stance? This type of misinformation hurts Ron's cause.

  • Am I the only one who gets annoyed when people refer to him as "Mr." Paul?

This is a doctor attacking prohibition of marijuana based on common sense and on our country's history with such policies. Baldwin is a complete moron.

You know who sponsors anti-marijuana advertisements? Cigarette and alcohol corporations.

And to Baldwin and his attack on Ron Paul supporters at the end- the vast majority of us support Dr. Paul because he is RIGHT about our country's vital issues, fuck you very much.

  • @x1ncognit0x Baldwin being polite when both him and Ron started talking at the same time and saying "go ahead mr. paul" isn't the annoying part. It's how joy pronounces Ron Paul's last name with her stupid new york accent that's annoying. I actually think that baldwin was very cordial throughout this interview.... yes he's an idiot, but he tried his best and I think he learned something from this. I don't hate on him... he's just naive and kind of simple minded.

  • @x1ncognit0x media is always trying to down sell ron paul, they call him mr. paul instead of congressmen paul or dr. paul because both those titles command a little respect. we cant have people respecting ron now can we.

  • @x1ncognit0x Ron Paul doesn't support the legalization of marijuana. He supports leaving the issue up to the States. So if a state decides to make possession an offense punishable by prison time, that's a-ok with him. Ron Paul's followers need to pull their heads out of their collective asses. He's not a champion of "liberty" - he's an apologist for the one percent, an opponent of choice (so much for women's "liberty") and a de facto racist who opposes the Civil Rights Act. FUCK RON PAUL!

  • Is RonPaul the only seeing eye of the world today? Who is that bawlwin? That man sounds like a nerd, trying to impress the teacher? RP 2012

  • Comment removed

  • Joy Behar is an ugly kike.

  • RON PAUL OWNED BALDWIN WITH HIS FIRST RESPONSE!

  • while i can't stand morons who claim smoking weed doesn't impair your mental capacities, i believe legalizing and taxing marijuana is a practical fiscal decision, the kind of which this country has not made in quite some time.

but boy, is ron paul longwinded or what? dude needs to learn how be a little more concise.

  • i admire ron paul's intelligence so much...how i wish he would be my president

  • I wouldn't exactly say that Steven Baldwin starred in Half Baked

  • lol he says he "starred" in half baked, fucker had 7 seconds of screentime

  • Perscription drugs lead to harder more addictive stuff, goons read what I type...

  • 99.9% of people that smoked weed have drank before smoking. So it seems that if there is a gateway drug it's not pot. It's alcohol !

I smoked weed for 25 yrs and quit with no sweats or symptoms. Except my spelling ! ;)

  • the declaration of independence was written on hemp paper

  • Ron Paul is SPOT ON on Hemp!

  • what's with Joy Behar pretending she's a reporter in fact what's with her pretending she's a comedian.

  • What he say's make's perfect sense, people's live's are ruined because they got caught with a little bit of pot. Then they get locked up with hardened criminals. Stupid law.

  • Has anyone here seen a person on prescription drugs who is taking them for purposes of depression? Did you know that more people overdose on prescription drugs than non-prescription drugs? Did you know that addiction to Prescription drugs is greater than non-prescription drugs? I had a loved one who was addicted to Prescription Drugs. It was hell to off of them, but they finally did, after sweating and shaking with the help of family members who were there to assist her.

  • Whitney Houston died from overdose of Legal Prescription Drugs, not from anything else.

  • Alcohol causes: Liver Disease, Heart Disease, Alcoholism, beaten wives, children, husbands, relatives or whoever happens to be in the way of the enraged alcoholic. Yet, alcohol is legal. Marijuana if smoked causes the user to be rather passive, sort of in a dream world for a time, but they consider it a high. Be that as it may be, which is more abusive to people and families? How come alcoholis legal and not an herb? PTB regulate everything to death. Herbals are less harmful than drugs.

  • Baldwin lives in a dream world.

  • "that's a fact, I don't care what anybody says...."

    Really?

  • People killed by stoned drivers...lol....

  • Dr. Paul is also right on the issue of sending jobs to Canada where they make hemp and hemp products, which we then buy from Canada and that's perfectly legal. Growing hemp and producing hemp products in the USA is not. Total irrational BS. How can any government official argue otherwise? I would love to hear their argument, lol. Hemp CAN NOT be smoked or turned into a smokable product at all. I guess we (the US government that is) only listen to scientists when it suits us (them).

  • Even if we made marijuana illegal for recreational use as a compromise the federal government has no business busting people who use it for medical reasons in states where it's legal at the st
