@fwynn Yeah, i have heard of a lot of other soaps for better foaming like DP xtreme foam. Thing is, walmart had a clearance on Gold Class @ $5/bottle, so i picked up a whole bunch before i got REALLY into detailing. On the label, it said 1 oz/gallon water, but i want to know the ratio for a good foaming.
@bl3ujay07 This is what i would do.. Keep adding soap.. slowly and slowly.. more and more each time.. to get the foam consistency you want. Over soaping will just make the soap super bubbly rather than the good foamy bubbly.
so does this automatically produce foam with the soap? can any auto soap be used in here or is it a specific item. I want to learn more about this for my next car so i can care for it well :)
if you rinse from top down.. you're running all the soap away. rinsing from bottom up keeps the soap on the car longer.. hence why i called it "scrubbing". when i actually rinse the car off (the 2nd time) i go from top down
@PhaDizzle Yeah of course... I'm just a little jealous of the cars and the weather;) Where I live we have all the snow and salt to worry about. If I wash my car it's just as dirty as it was 1 mile later... But these cars aren't really ment for that kind of weather are they:) In the summer I wash and wax my bike every week too.
during this time, i was riding my bike. So i use the roof rack to transport my roady around., i took off the bike attachment and fairing so it's easier to wash
@bl3ujay07 lol! he can just use a gas powered blower to dry it without touching. just gotta work your way from above and go down the car, this will prevent swirls also, I've seen it done, looks weird but it works.
This works to some extent, iv used snow foam and pressure and it just doesn't do as good a job as by hand, i tend to snow foam then pressure off then snow again then agitate with lambs wool then spray off with pressure.
@eshea5050 the jetwash comes with a lance for use on the car and the circular scrubber is for patios and decks really but i found out the hard way and i have recently sold the X5 for my Mercedes CLS just because BMW dont make the particular wheels I had on it i wash my merc myself the proper way but have the valeter down to do the aston lol
I like the fact that you are trying something different and it looks very useful. How ever I feel that the water blaster is a little to strong it could take the paint off.
The foam cannon is not intended to completely rid of the actual car wash. It is normally used to break up the contaminants before a real wash. You can also use the foam cannon if you have just recently fully detailed your car and need a quick wash because of a small layer of dirt or dust.
Baffles me why everyone of these videos are all using CLEAN cars! any offers to come and video yourself washing mine with such great effect?? Its doesn't go unwashed for months, but it is used everyday in north east England weather! i awaite any offers!
Reason why you spray down top is because the water wont run the foam off.. if you know what i mean. You want the foam to stay as long as it can on the car. Then when you pressure wash it off the dirt will fly right off.
You still have to wash your car to make it clean unless it was only dusty. I hope none of you are dumb enough to think you can foam and then powerwash the car and it be clean.
i only perform the touchless car wash if it's only dusty. and well waxed. if the car is in horrible condition then it will need to be rubbed downed by hand.
however my car never gets to that level
but so far everytime i wash my car. it leaves a perfect finish. no scratches at all. (checked under a halogen lighting)
@deepsilber you do this THEN hand wash. this doesn't get the really stuck on bits off, just the big chunks that cause scratches during hand washing. then once the car is fully waxed and polished, do this 1-2 times a week and your car will be permanently like this just about. no more need to hand wash after the first time.
thats the idea of a touchless wash - on a well waxed car as it prevents any risk of inflicting swirls. you should never 'scrub' a car when washing anyway..
the only time you should really scrub is when your car is VERY contaminated. and all the dirty and grime are stuck on your paint and wont come off easily.
It was the attachment that i put on my Pressure washer.. it spits out foam pretty much :] lets the soap stick to your car w/o actually having to put it on.. risking to scratch your paint
supposed to rinse top to bottom jack ass!

i know its an old video, but what ration of MG gold class to water?
bl3ujay07 1 week ago
@bl3ujay07
If you were to get a regular water bottle cap... i'd put 5-6 caps?
for gold glass you have to use a lot to make a nice foam.. Using other soaps like CG citrus.. u can use less and it will foam a LOT more
