  • Hi, I just got the same aircraft. How did you add ailerons? Was it a kit you bought? Thanks..

  • @Curicua I cut out ailerons, hinged them, used a completely new radio and power system, and added new servos and linkages

  • It goes faster with brushless in mine has the original motor in and it dont fly with that much power!!it barely does a flip with the act off

  • Dose that thing have airlons?

  • @MrSVT123 yes i added ailerons

  • What did you use for motor mount? Where did you get it?

  • @CarlosMerighe i used a gws 400 stick mount with a basswood stick attached that was securely glued into the nose of the plane

  • @jeflatt, basswood glued to the nose does not sound like a very strong motor mount.

  • @CarlosMerighe it's mounted about 6 inches into the fuselage, epoxied, hot glued, and reinforced with fiberglass rods

  • @jeflatt It's better to have your motor mount break than the motor.....

  • @CarlosMerighe bought it on like for like 25 bucks. im selling mine for 18 plus shipping, 25 with brushless 150 watt motor it fits perfect and has the correct thrust angle. perfect mod to go brushless.

  • i used and aluminum mount with the thrust angle built into its base. using futaba 7 C

    and a 2200 turnigy (30 esc)

    great work

    5 stars

  • Hey, did you get your motor and esc as a

kit from a guy on ebay? just asking

  • @stormranger6 , where did you get the aluminum mount? Thanks!

  • did u have to make a mount for the new motor?

  • i used a gws 400 stick mount with a basswood stick glued into the plane

  • Awesome mod! You really know what you are doing!

  • Thanks, I really appreciate it Dave.

  • Awesome. Give us the details.

  • well, i took the dihedral out of the wing, added ailerons with e-flite s-60 servos and gave the rudder and elevator the same servos. It has a 480 size brushless outrunner...960kv, 30amp esc and a spektrum ar6100e receiver and dx6i transmitter. It does rolls, loops, stal turns, inverted, knife edges, torque rolls, and hovers.

  • standard cub landing on grass!lol

  • Looks Good-Maybe try adding a Fourth Channel though.

  • it is 4ch

  • Fabulous. That is a great plane. 5 stars.

  • Your upgraded Cub looks like FUN!!! Great job man!!!

  • thanks, it is a blast to fly
