There was a black Macbook when this video was posted. The power button symbol is showing a 1 (on) partially inside a 0 (off), which is the universal symbol for 'standby'. Windows laptops only have one power button. You can make the icons big on Windows. The magnifying glass is a universal symbol for 'search', even used on Windows. The dimming feature is to save battery. And the remote has absolutely nothing to do with TV.
