@LDNHustler Yes. I think you need to first question yourself as to why they selected such a data structure. FIX is designed to be light weight in the construction and parsing of the data. Using XML would result in a significant overhead. In fact, there has been an attempt to create a binary FIX protocol version to further improve the performance of parsing the payload.
