Awesome video. I have wondered how to blend well forever! Thanks! I didn't realize the three color thing. One thing that was really helpful was to find I was always placing my "crease" shadow too low. It looks like you are using it on the lower part of your brown bone instead of that crease/hollow just above your lid.  Is that true? Thanks!

@yedhuerta No. You can use bronzer to do a certain amount of contouring but it's made to add color to the face. You can look up contouring videos that use actual contouring makeup that sculpts the face. pixiwoo has a good one.

@mondstauberdbeere Powder bronzer may not work that great for probably because of the brush that is used. Make sure your bronzer is soft and blendable.. A good cheap option is the NYC Bronzer in Sunny (its like $3). You can also try foundation that is darker than you. It'll blend very easily into the skin because of the formulation. Just apply it on and a bit below the cheekbones and on the forehead, around the hairline. You should check kandeejohnson for the foundation bronzer technique

What I like to do is use a pressed powder for darker skin instead of actual bonzer. You get so much more product that works just as well if you apply it right :) I have only bought two of the cheapo CoverGirl pressed powder (I like using a darker shade for the summer and a lighter shade for fall/winter) and they have lasted me almost two years AND I use the daily. Just a helpful tip :)

@lilyseymour i've heard marlena mention many times about girls with darker skin and what she would suggest for them. she can only work with what she has, and it would be somewhat of an inconvenience to bring in a model for videos all the time. the same goes for a darker youtuber. they wouldn't always be mentioning what would look good on lighter skin. it has nothing to do with her being prejudiced. it's about working with what she has and being good at it

aahh the focusing is killing my eyes! maybe you should turn off the autofocus.

use the zone focus technique instead where you focus on the area that you will be sitting in front of the camera (maybe have someone sit in for you) that way it doesn't keep shifting from the detailed background you have behind you to your face.
