tranmate isnt free but there is an app called translator which is very good and is FREE

A lot of apps.. But there is a limit. You can only have 9 pages of apps (you know the little buttons on the bottom when in home menu).

typacaly they are very user friendly. if you have one near by you you should go to an iPod store to take one for a test drive. I did and i now own a 32 gig touch.

You get a cable that plugs into the USB port onto your computer. It also has wi-fi but thats for web browsing. I don't use limewire but you could. Just copy the music from limewire to itunes

even though the iphone is somewhat cheaper now but the plan is around like $10 more (i think but i know the price for the plan has gone up) also 3g isn't everywhere so in some places u cant get the "worlds fastest network". also u have to pay to use the internet i believe instead of having a wi fi like the touch the ipod touch can call with an app called fring but it has no mic so u need to buy it separately and need to be near wi fi to make a call to hope this helps a little
