i have it i love it -- for canon -- pro results - one of the worlds best ultra wide lenses - built like a tank - reasonably fast f/4 - and lightning fast hsm - paid about $650canadain - good quality and comes with lens hood - im very pleased with mine after 3 years

This is a pro-spec lens, the EX on the side stands for Excellence which is Sigma's professional range. The lens is made for APS-C type sensors. If you make a good effort to learn how to get the best from this lens then you will see the benefit of it's build quality and why it is classed as professional . Really is a landscape photographers lens.

Due to it's wide characteristics my Lee ND grad filters are not as easy to use but work well with a bit of tinkering.

Sigma are releasing a F3.5 version of the 10-20mm.

I'm sure it'll be awesome, but it's quite a lot bigger and the filter size is something I've never seen before. It's also going to be a lot more expensive. So I went with the 10-20mm :-).
