actually i had a 2.5 evinrude which is the same motor that pushed my 20 foot aqua sport at 4-5 mph without a whole lot of trouble.you just have to build up speed slowly and dont get in a hurry.i also had a 1.5 hp air cooled british seagul that pushed it at 2-3 mph. it doesnt take as much as you think to push a boat at 4-8 mph.
