my mom is catholic because she converted over the marriage of my dad, and that didn't work out, soooo, she stayed catholic and well, with the help of my grandparents i went back to roots ;) and i learn the torah in las vegas where i'm at now for college, at Midbar Kodesh Conservative temple ;) do you want the website? ^^ i can give it to you!

i am a jew and ur are wrong in some sense. It is not so cut and dry, the isrealites were a race of people, they were hebrews. Modern day jews span all walks of life and come from many different ethnic backrounds. The israelites were a middle eastern stock people. Today we have middle eastern jews,ashkenazi jews (which are a mix of middle eastern and european),black jews, chinese jews, etc. Judaism is not a race anymore or ethnicity.

There are many spellings when transliterated. Yamaka, yarmulke, yarmulka<--- one of many words that people cannot agree how to spell. I studied yiddish and eat at Thai restaurants everyday, trust me, transliteration leaves much to be understood about any language.
