rotating single slit and merging 2 single slits

I'd be curious to see what would happen if you rotate the laser.

From what I gather, the light emanating from a laser is "somewhat" polarized. I wonder if the orientation of the plane of polarization has any impact on the way the pattern fans out, or on the intensity of the pattern.
