@armcdonald It's like the message of love without God - a very beautiful and true message indeed. But without God, it's somewhat shallow. There is a much deeper and more profound message when the child Jesus is part of the story.

In the original, that tiny child was a cornerstone of the giant's life ever after he put him into the tree. In this version, the small child just kinda blends into the background, little more than a literary device - once used, it's no longer important.
