  • You guys sure do have amazing talent and creativity, both in front of and behind the camera. I picture y'all touring the country (or world?) stopping at schools to introduce kids to classical music, and (theoretically) inspire them to bring out the creative and innovative force within them. You go guys!

  • you guys are amazing

  • Hey guys! I have few questions about your filming: 1: How much approximately cost to create piece like this? + Do you have sponsors? 2: How much people work around it? 3: How long you are doing this? 4: Where do you record it? (City/State) 5: Were you born by gods O.o?

By the way, the things what you do make me happy and gives my life some deeper sense :) So please, create more of these :)

  • @ThePianoGuys When you guys are creating the video is it play a part stop, play a part stop, and then paste it together? because I see the instruments change here.

  • the place looks like the conservatory where I studied piano xD

  • I thinks your used canon 50 Mk II, 7D 17-40 F4L, fix 35. :D and etc.. :D

  • How many cellos does he have.????

  • I hate GEMA. I can watch most off your videos because of them.....

  • hi

  • @GuitarFriend Let's see you doing something in HD genius. And you call this music cheesy? You must be blind to the fantastic music heading our charts these days. This is true music, live with it. Either that, or your taste in music is pathetic if you say this "sucked" lol

  • I got to talk to Steven a week after this came out. :D It was so awesome! :D He was telling me how you guys were getting loopy near the end of the shoot with the whole "Friday" bit haha XD

  • who edited this? its awesome

  • It feels good to see people having fun & getting along, & just enjoying life.....

  • what yamaha piano is this???

  • I pretty much assumed the 5dmkII and Final Cut Pro parts... but where the heck did you get that programmable dolly!? That is SWEET!

  • Anyone knows what melody 0:09 - 0:28 is?

  • What program did you use?

  • @Sliem1998 Final Cut Pro

  • @thedanster98 I believe those were original. They were being metaphoric.

  • i watch this video every day, 7-8 times)

it gives so much positive energy.

  • awesome video, but do you think you guys could explain how you managed to sync all the clips with the audio? I mean, did you play the entire song again and again and if so how did the performers manage to keep the exact tempo each time, since they aren't listening to a beat or anything? it's been giving me headaches!

  • WOW I knew that there is a lot of work to it. I'm playing some piano parts using one camera for multi-angle recording. Pffff it's not so easy:

    -split the song in parts

    - record every part separately with the right rhythm, volume and intonation

    - when I'm combining the pieces I often have to play some parts again and again until I get tired of it and start with another song.

Actually I'm going to upload All of me by Jon. Would be great if he listened to it :-)

  • Гениально...!

  • at first sounds like saw theme (I wanna play a game!!) haha

  • Where did you guys get that piano? I went on Yamaha's site I couldn't find anything like it....

  • is this based on another song, because i can swear i have heard it somewere else in "rock" form....

  • @daeheadshot it definitely uses some of the progressions from Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson

  • hey great job you guys! I just had one question for ya, what type of camera were u using? And what type of editing software to you have?

  • OOWWWW!!!!

  • wow this is amazing how comes you guys only have 39,819 views? :O you deserve way much more!

  • I like when they were dancing to Rebecca Black's "Friday"

  • Vcs são incríveis!

    A hello from Brazil!

  • What else can be said! You guys ROCK! Keep up the great work! - Bravo! - David L

  • Do you shoot all your videos with 5D Mark II's?

  • I have been sitting here watching your videos for like an hour now, you guys are so amazing. o.o ♥

  • why did you guys have to film it so late? 6pm - 6am!

  • @ranagan9 Actually we first planned on filming outside in the middle of the city and wanted it dark outside so we could control the lighting, but it was raining pretty good so we got this location last minute. We will have to do another one in the middle of the city sometime.

  • @ThePianoGuys Please do! I would love to see my beloved home starred in such a wonderful light! Tel does such a wonderful job, I wish I could know him as well as my Sister-In-Law :)

  • Amazing song and filming :D

  • Hello - Please check your messages. Our Website is interested in featuring your original content. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks!

  • geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!!!!!!!! brilliant!!!!

  • music videos look like a lot of work but it must be fun to make one! love your instruments but i love the music you make more! i am grateful for your concerts. i started taking my kids to them years ago and now they will still listen to your stuff even with the "other" things they sometimes like. thank you for making a good difference in their lives! my daughter was watching the video of your son and she exclaimed-i know her she went to bntf jr high too!

  • How come Germans can't watch some of your Videos, like "All of me" or Michael meets Mozart"? The Artists uploading there own music shouldn't infringe any copyright. Please, let your awesome music be heard in Germany too!

  • @ThePianoGuys Were did you get the idea of the title Michael Meets Mozarts.

I am just a little curious

  • this guys are really cool, love the way they place the inmstrumentals, check out my channel as well to see my videos

  • Wait... automatic glidecam @ 1:04!?! What is life...

  • That is probably the coolest piano I've ever seen. I noticed it's a Yamaha. Is it a special type of grand or just really cool looking?

  • @ChaoticYak This is a piano Yamaha made to commemorate their 100 years of making pianos called the Disklavier NEO, it's a 6'1 Grand Piano.

  • @ThePianoGuys Thanks. I'm totally envious. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford a real piano. :)

  • @ThePianoGuys the piano is SO BEAUTIFUL and charming. I've heard that it is not for sell... like the Kawaii Crystal CR40. They are limited edition and there are only one NEO in Europa? =(

  • lol what did you do to Jon at 2:08?? XD

  • So much fun to see all the work that went into making that amazing video. I've posted a link to it on Facebook and told friends on another social site that they should watch it.

This song is absolutely amazing and the video is wonderful!

  • Awesome music, noob question, but is this on a CD with more like it ? Would but it to support the artists and their work.

  • @Paladonius Go to Jon Schmidt's website which is in the description of the video, he has many CD's with awesome music that anyone would love, check it out. He has one song called Pachelbel meets U2 that I love personally.

  • 2:13 hahaha "Friday"...

  • I really should start exploring various types of music for my violin, baroque is good, but everything gets a bit drab after a while.

  • Oh man i love you guys..... 2:34 was a personal favorite moment, along with 2:17 ! =D

  • @janicew9 lol I liked 0:30 and 1:36... cause we got poked by a bow! I do that to people... hehe

  • @CheletheCello I know me too! Haha and bow fights.. which my orchestra director doesn't really appreciate...but we enjoy it ;D

  • @janicew9 lol same here! Me and my stand partner do "bow fives" which are like high fives! :D yeah our conductor doesn't like it either... lol!

  • So farvin cool Jon!

  • LOL

  • haha jon... "is she serious?" 2:18

  • @taylorlysenko You caught that remark, good ear!

  • I'm so proud of us Mormon people! :D

  • @lxmcflysxgirl they're mormon? now thats a problem.

  • @AthrunApl Yeah they are. Why is that a problem?

  • @CheletheCello Na, I was just joking, mormons are p. cool.

  • @AthrunApl haha they are. :)

  • @AthrunApl oh ok. :)

  • @lxmcflysxgirl Yeah I know! Makes me proud to be a Mormon Cellist :D

  • haha we have a lot of musical talented people!! I know the guy who directed and filmed this video! he's so awesome!

  • @lxmcflysxgirl cool! :D

  • @lxmcflysxgirl Yeah I know! :D :D

  • @lxmcflysxgirl why did you have to say that its great music done by amazing people no need to remark on what religion they are.

  • more of your talented skills and less of "Friday" :)

  • Why are you being dicks and blocked the actual video in Germany?! It's so good and now I can only listen to the mp3 that I fortunately ripped before you did that. :(

  • @Atin1337 ouch...language please im sure it wasnt them, youtube does that sort of stuff on its own

  • @janicew9

No. Either the uploader or the owner of the copyright can make a video unavailable for certain parts of the world. But that usually only happens with music from UMG, BMG, EMI and Warner, which is all blocked over here, for various stupid reasons.

  • @Atin1337 We contacted YouTube and they said something called GEMA in Germany is what blocked it, definitely not us, we want it to be seen everywhere! I think that's kinda interesting you thought we did it..:-)

  • @ThePianoGuys

Oh, I apologize for being rude then. :)

Well, many of your videos are blocked here, which is very rare for independent productions like yours. The GEMA is a national association that collects fees for any kind of use of artistic works. They never came to right with YT though (they wanted a high fee from YT for every click on their content) and thus forced YT to block any content that belonged to their customers (e.g. all major labels). I don't see how you fit in there though. :S

  • What DSLR's were used? I see Canon in there.

  • @andreash2550 Just by looking at the mirror prism (total educated guess by physical use) I would guess either 7d or 5d mark ii. One of the angles on one of the scenes looked like maybe one rebel.

  • @andreash2550 The main cameras were the Canon 5D and 7D mounted on either the Glidecam or tripod. They are both great cameras!

  • @ThePianoGuys I just noticed that! WOW Amazing!! Great work!!

  • Love seeing DSLR being use more and more for commercial use!

  • 2.13 LOL! they're dancin to the song friday. these guys are hilarious!

  • hahaha! 2.13 they're dancing to the song friday! this guys are hilarious!

  • So where is the shooting location?

  • @AmazinglyAstounding It was filmed at The Muse Cafe in Provo, Utah. It was perfect for what we wanted!

  • What is the track thing that you guys put your camera on? Great video by the way :)

  • @SJCreationsNetwork That's the Kessler Krane Cineslider, it's so sweet!

  • Glad to see you had fun making it! Loved the final production!!

  • @ogdencummings If you notice things got a little more silly as time went by, having the shoot go from 6pm to 6am..:-) It was a blast!

  • That's so fun!!! LOVE THE SONG!!!!!

  • Awesome, guys! FYI, the links are broken at the end of this video.

  • @palupolzni Got the links working, thanks for letting us know.

  • You guys are awesome!

  • @jellemichel Thank you, and make sure to check out Devin Grahams YouTube channel called Devinsupertramp, he did an amazing job with video, that guy is like the Ironman of Glidecam.

  • I wish I were there!!!!
