@domGster im not disagreeing with you man, i know it can change people, ive seen it happen. but with legalisation these changes can be well documented and people could be helped more. they can regulate those parts of drugs that cause those changes aswell, we have to technologyknowledge to do this, yet people are more focuse on just taking the high away i.e cannabis pills, they have isolated the part that helps and taken everything else away, not realising that its not solely one element ....

People realy do need to learn , or if not a trained profesion needs to be there to help them when the users require, the funds would save tax payers money on drug enforcement. the drug would be safer to consume, Tax would be saved in the nhs, and the weed itself could be taxed , but then the advantage of cannabis become to wide spread and the goverments investments loose there market

@thebileball got the stats here actually, around 1hr after ingestion serotonin levels in the body are at around 6x there original rates, and when the comedown hits, 5hrs after ingestion(with no more taken) serotonin exists at half the normal level, hence the general feeling of shit lol.

the cool thing about cannabinoid receptors is that when you smoke marijuana and the cannabinoids are interacting with your receptors they actually strengthen the connection and help your brain recieve information. this is why scientists are beginning to look to weed for alzheimers(i heard this from a scientist at uci ca i work with

@thebileball Olney's lesions are associated with dissosiative use whereby the receptor being affected is actually in use, i.e. the NMDA receptor. I however have never heard of Olney's lesions being associated with anything going on with the 5-HT receptor from any credible source, I therefore tend to think of it as a myth. Agreed about the cannibinoids though, they are good for Alzheimers, not because of the receptor that gets you high though, it's because of the CB2 receptor I think.
