I thought this game was awesome and completed it already. The level up system was alright but you get used it it the more you play it. Im stuck trying to get the last key blades and I just loved the Cut scenes. Also you Find out some stuff about the story. You find out what micky wrote in the letter to Sora, Riku and kairi at the end of Kindom hearts 2. Also you figure out that EVERY person who has EVER had a keyblade is connected to sora in some way. Anyway still loved the review. Thanks. Ben.
Great review, Steph! I probably won't buy this game because I have some others I am working on currently, but I'm glad they finally gave us another game focused on Sora, rather than Roxas. I still have to play 358/2 days, and I will most likely be playing KH 3DS, but I agree that we need some KH3 to come out :)
Great review Steph! I won't be picking up the game myself, it's too expensive for a bunch of recycled locations, music, etc. When the game ends up in the bargain bin I'll pick it up =p
Honestly im not a fan of kingdom hearts although I like the idea of a disney/final fantasy cross over world. Although watching this the camara looks just awful at times.

This is the only kingdom hearts game i dont have so far but il deff get round to getting it soon. the graphics look pretty beautiful, great review steph i enjoyed it
While i DID enjoy the gameplay of this game, the story it self was lacking in my opinion, my true joy came from castle oblivion being able to twist the story, the nostalgia from this game brought me to tears almost its been so long since KH1! but sadly i only kept playing this game to get the secret ending.. also the shoot em up is actually there tribute to "sin and punishment" look up that game for wii. i think you will enjoy it
I personally enjoyed this game but I do think it was overall very repetitive if you've played all of the other games in the series. I think they really need to expand on the level selection. We've all been to Wonderland more then once. Urgh.
@StephsTooDef The next Kingdom Hearts game will be Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS. That probably won't come out til late 2011 or 2012. After that, I hope that they end the series with Kingdom Hearts III on the PS3. We've had BBS, CoM, 358/2 Days, Coded, and will get Dream Drop Distance. That's 5 "side story/back story" type of games. I think that's enough delaying KH3...LOL
@StephsTooDef I still need to get this game ASAP. A good review. But you say that the game uses the command deck system like Chain of Memories? Not really. I think this game is more like Birth By Sleep. Chain of Memories had that horrible card system. Graphically, this game is a huge step up from 358/2 Days. It's too bad they've been using the same damn opening theme song.
@suiton629 It is pretty similar to Chain of Memories even though it doesn't have that horrible card collecting/using mechanic. It does also bare some similarities to Birth By Sleep. I love that theme song....I don't know why, but I'm always rocking to it when it plays. Like you said I'm ready KH3 already. Enough with the side stories. Give us the real deal!
@StephsTooDef Kingdom hearts 3 will come out after Dream Drop Distance, but there is a rumor that there will be a Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Volume 2. If that is the case then it will come out after BBSV2. I also heard that Kingdom Hearts 3 is only the end of the Ansem Saga, so if that is the case then HELL YES!!!!!! Kingdom Hearts is the only game I want to be like Final Fantasy where there is 14 titles and more!
Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be the last game altogether. After KH3, there will be no more KH. Period. Unless it's a sidegame. But this just confirms that BBSV2 will come out first.

Personally I am tired of kingdom hearts games being released on the nintendo ds. It is long overdue for a kingdom hearts game to be released on the ps3. The same goes for Persona. I am a huge fan of both series and wish that the developers of both series would put their time and money into quality products for the ps3. What do you think Stef?
@PinkCowgirl925 Go for Birth By Sleep first. That is definitely the better portable game. Next play this one and then if you really want to go for 358/2. That's my least favorite. You should try to consider playing KH 1 and 2 though.

A great review here, Steph. You captured a lot of great footage! I didn't know that this game took place after Kingdom Hearts 2. I'm 9 hours into the second one now, so when I beat that, I'm definitely going to pick this one up. And YES, that opening theme is so freakin' awesome. When I first turned on Birth By Sleep I was totally jamin' out to that! XD I'm gald you did a review for this, Steph! Very well done.

i liked kingdom hearts at the beginning but the series is getting old to me now. Kingdom hearts birth by sleep is the last one ill buy. Its just that the gameplay is so repetitive and doesnt change from game to game.

I played and beat this game in a matter of 3 day's I believe. Sadly it was only 15 hours (Roughly) of gameplay : (

Play KH 1 and 2 to get best of the KH searies and dount forget the KH 358/2 Days its on DS too.
