The argument that people come to the U.S. for healthcare is misleading. There are U.S.citizens who go to other countries for health care also when specialties demand. This argument is made by the unimformed. One example of better healthcare abroad is the fact that India for instance has lower infection rate than the U.S. with regards to hospitals because of better procedures in India. This is one example of many. What is needed though now is affordable insurance.

France provides health care for everyone—whether legally and illegally. The main source of funding: payroll and income taxes. Private doctors provide care while the govt. owns the majority of hospitals. Life expectancy in France is 81.1. In the U.S. it is 78.1. Actually he's referencing a different poll. Also, if you look at the Rasmussen numbers from June, the approval rating dropped about 10 percent, which is about the same drop in the poll numbers Cenk is mentioning.
Obviously Rasmussen shouldn't be discounted, but there is a tendency for them to be on the lower end, and I would expect the NYT/CBS to be a bit on the higher end. So the focus, in my opinion is that about 10 percent was shaved off approval numbers.

The argument that people come to the U.S. for healthcare is misleading. There are U.S.citizens who go to other countries for health care also when specialties demand. This argument is made by the unimformed. One example of better healthcare abroad is the fact that India for instance has lower infection rate than the U.S. with regards to hospitals because of better procedures in India. This is one example of many. What is needed though now is affordable insurance.

Private doctors provide care while the govt. owns the majority of hospitals. Life expectancy in France is 81.1. In the U.S. it is 78.1. The government is doing a good job at running the military health insurance which the regular insurance companies won't even touch. S.S. and Medicare ran for many years until under the govt. eye. A health care plan in not a constitutional or moral right. If you are in a life threating situation (shot, stab, hit by a car, TB.) etc.. you get help. The "option" simply means that you will be taxed if your not on it pay taxes if you are on it, pay taxes if you have health insurance already, then your own company will drop your Insurance and tell you to go on the "option" so they dont get taxed and have to pay for it. Actually he's referencing a different poll. Also, if you look at the Rasmussen numbers from June, the approval rating dropped about 10 percent, which is about the same drop in the poll numbers Cenk is mentioning.
Obviously Rasmussen shouldn't be discounted, but there is a tendency for them to be on the lower end, and I would expect the NYT/CBS to be a bit on the higher end. So the focus, in my opinion is that about 10 percent was shaved off approval numbers.

I'm not saying Rasmussen is not a good poll. I'm just saying that they do have a conservative lean, which could account for such a large difference. I would also say that election polling and public opinion polling can, at times, be quite different.

In Canada we have what is termed as medical-refugees coming over giving birth and returning back into the USA.
