Don't let the fake money economy dictate what's best for the longevity of the nation. Buying into neofeudalism and globalism is the exact opposite thing we should be doing with our nationalist policies. Punish cheap labor controlled by a Communist regime by raising a high tariff on foreign goods. Then get government credit issued into homes and infrastructure and let the people build their country to fulfill their happiness with liberty and justice for all.
Upon entering Jerusalem Jesus was upset to see moneychangers conducting business in his Fathers temple, and so drove them away forcefully. This seems a far cry from producing an AR-15 assault rifle and mowing those motherf-rs down.
We need a common sense approach to injustice with a modicum of critical thought. I will be watching Modern Whig Party, I will be watching.
I chose the party because of the way I think. I just gave a Modern Whig response to issues and they were neither extremely liberal and kooky, nor were they uber conservative and draconian. They were based on common sense and a reasonable and humane approach and worldview.
The other major party platforms are wayward and don't represent the norm, same for other minor parties they are divisive. They represent all the interests of everyone else but americans and marginalize you if you dare say a word. So far, whig is where it's at and I will stand beside them so long as they stay true to thier own values and platform.
I have been sick of American politics for years now and have wanted to do something about it and become politically active but could not find a real home. Some of the third parties out there fit well but they all had one plank that was just well nuts. I am so happy to have found the Modern Whig party.
YES!!! The Modern Whig Party is for me. I live in Brooklyn, NY and would like to become more involved. I've tried many other "third party" movements in the past and have been very disappointed for lots of reasons. In the past I've been registered Libertarian, Green and my favorite party, which no longer exists, the Natural Law Party. I hope that this re-invention of an old institution with a history will prove to be a successful one. .
I sure hope you guys make it happens, and don't distance yourself from the Old Whigs, they have a long and noble history going back to Colonial times.
I chose the Modern Whig party because I'm fed up with both parties, the Democrats who blame their way into power and the Republicans who can't get their act together.
Amen. Remember, the Whig Party is the Party of the Founders (1833 was a revival of the the Revolutionary Whigs) lets get our voices heard and not drowned out by the polarized extremes of liberal and conservative.
Nice job, centrism is realy best option in general, and is answer for all nations. Only one thing should this party change and that is its name instead modern whig party it should be only whig party!!
Drug Legalization is destructive and leaves your people dull and apathetic. We can fight drug manufacturing and treat those that fall victim to themselves and those that peddle addiction in a reasonable and humane way. Illegal immigration is illegal, so we make laws that agree with that sentiment. Foreign policy is tied to energy policy. We want out of the oil stranglehold and we will legislate accordingly to help that process along. If there is a viable threat, we will address it with logic.
@TheJoker7682 I used to think strongly that drug legalization was irresponsible, but I'm looking at the issue more-fiscally now.
The bulk of our foreign trade (and immigration) problems have their origin in the WTO and NAFTA agreements of 2000 and before. This is THE (and perhaps insurmountable) hurdle. Even if we continue to fight illegal drug trade and sale, we have to examine the punishment of drug use as it is very expensive.
You have to realize what the drug trade represents; a black market slush fund for government and financial elites. They use this policy to destroy the population and then fund studies and policy wonks to tout legalization as a way to help stop the problem they help create, don't be fooled by it. I'm of the opinion that Marijuana should be legal, but with laws regarding consumption. For instance, I would consider it like alcohol, you can't smoke and drive, that would be considered a DUI.
Wow, I just discovered the Modern Whig Party and I love what they stand for! This country has given itself to a 2-party system that advocates only the extremes of various issues. We can be so much more if we just start thinking for ourselves!
I have never been involved in any type of political expression or organization. However, I vote at every opportunity. The Modern Whig Party represents something that our society has been lacking. In other words, the Modern Whig Party is my political home because they make it OK to agree with the GOP on certain issues but also agree with the Dems on others. It is OK for me to be liberal on many social issues but conservative on economic and defense. That is why I found a home inthe Modern Whigs.
Why you say.... Because as humans we are given the opportunity to choose for ourselves. Each state of this great union is completely different. The federal government is there for Foreign and International issues that affect everyone. That being said, domestic issues are that... DOMESTIC to each state and commonwealth. We are a country of various minds and views and that, my friends, is a beautiful thing. TRUE DEMOCRACY NOW!
the way I see it, when it comes to the issues of abortion and so on, God gave us a choice, and hoped that we would choose well. we each have to decide as communities to whether we accept this and not force this choice on others, but remember, even God is crossing his fingers that we will not disappoint him.

I'm a member of the modern whig party and love it. I hope it becomes more popular and a major party.

Even though I am not a member of the party, I would definitely choose it over the two major parties.
