  • O.O so amazing. I didn't know human hands could move that fast.

  • Valentina, when you come to Virginia, could I have a lesson with you?

  • C'mon Barb-ay Let's go Part-ay !!!

  • awesome performance! love it. and i am a music student.

  • She's a behmoth on the keyboard. Its like a runaway freight train, impressive and the strength and concentration is unbelievable. In my opinion only though its meant to be a bit cheeky and flirty. Didn't see any of that.

  • Віртуозна техніка.

  • my computer lags from your fingers

  • Just awesome! I can't even play slow music, but totally inspired by people that can play the masters music!

  • I could watch her fingers for hours.

  • Barbie!!! =]

  • on a l'impression que ces doigts glisses sur le clavier du piano...un vrai plaisir pour les oreilles

  • This video was so badass my Adobe Flash Player crashed lololol

  • @ValentinaLisitsa I hope you visit the Philippines one time. I'd surely watch your performance! :)

  • Valentina, you're amazing.

  • very good technic but a lot too fast! and too hard!

  • I really enjoyed your playing: )

Btw, is it me or is that Eb 7 a little bit out of tune?

  • @ValentinaLisitsa , you are amazing!

  • anch'io voglio diventare come lei

  • How can people dislike this?

  • Whenever I'm stressed, dissapointed by people, I look to you. I love you, how could I deny this? You're an angel, Valentina!

  • fucking shitttttttttttt, that was soooo sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkfkwoerkfopwekrfoikerfkrekkerkfkerkfekrfpk, i just banged on my keyboard like a listz song

  • perfect! I love her...

  • Just the Best "La Campanella" I've ever seen on youtube....

  • The music is beautiful, the dress would be better if it was black or indigo.

  • I created an account on YouTube just to say this is AMAZING

  • your virtuosity impresses me as always, I can't believe I missed your passage in belgium :( , do you plan on coming back here at some point or around there (france, netherlands, UK, ...) ?

  • would u say that this piece is harder than PATHETIQUE SONATA 1ST MOVEMENT????????

  • @hellokittyrulz2011 Much much much harder.

  • @hellokittyrulz2011 you're kidding right?

  • Uhmmmm ms. valentina how long did you study this piece??? pls. reply

  • nice!..very stable :D

  • Among the very best renditions of La Campanella, I've heard.... Brilliant

  • molto brava

  • I honestly can not believe my ears right now...what did u do to them...

  • why is she tagging yundi li?

  • @mudkipliekme

    attract viewers.

  • WITCH! SH'ES A WITCH!

  • @anthonygath86 Witches are awesome :D

  • technically perfect, really not like her, but much too fast, unfortunately, in the beginning... and true, this dress really is an insult -i like her Rachmaninov interpretations very much, though..

  • Боже, как Вы прекрасны, милая Дама! Хоть ложись да помирай, что это далеко и только на экране. Вы Божественны, право...

  • GOD probably has this version of this piece in his IPod. Valentina you are a treasure.

  • burn the dress, buy a new one and the picture is complete :)

    Very nice playing

  • This is an example of both the artist and instrument perform with escellance!

Few pianos are capable of being played like that! And the sound of a Bosendorfer (in person) is fantastik! They go very well together - and compliment each other in a very beautiful way.

  • ...

that was total epicness if a piano could be epic.

    holy fat ice cream cone

  • whatever you do, theres always an asian doing it better. in her case it's Yundi Li

  • @hemen94 no valentina is better in my opinion and thats not true

  • ???????????????????? How fast, seriously why would you want to play to the point where your fingers blur off camera?

  • that is an annoying song

  • i love how you play but i agree, that dress i awful ^^

  • i've seen her play in real life, and wow; i saw both of her hands twice

  • haha valentina makes the piece sound so hard to play with speed.(I cant play tis piece this fast either) I always make mistakes at the octaves at the ending and i have no idea how to correct that lols.

  • at 1.56 you simplified a bit didnt you?? the thumb notes? =P =P

i hate that part. always get tangled up... =S hahaha

  • exelente valentina sos la mejor

  • I love the part beginning at 1:16 ~

  • 1:34 = no comment....

  • Lisztomania out.

    Lisitomania in.

  • I like the slow version :D

  • I personally think that songs like this are the songs you have to listen to, because if you watch them play it...it's just so...distracting

  • fine

    easy

    normal

    hard

    expert

    infantList expert liszt

    Valentina

  • the playing is virtuosic, but that dress..... hideous

  • @vicccccccxD Absolutely agree! I hate that dress. Actually the dress is the main reason that the DVD is discontinued , seriously :-)

  • @ValentinaLisitsa Dress or not, please bring it back!

  • @ValentinaLisitsa who cares about the dress!!! This performance is unbelievable! This has been my favorite classical piano piece every since I took a music history class years ago, and I have constantly been searching for a video performance of this piece at a tempo as fast as you can play it here. You are the only one I have found so far! Incredible work.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa Hahahahhahah, fantastic. Hope I see you next time youre in the US.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa

The DVD was discontinued because of the appearance of that dress!?!? Seriously? I like the dress, it's nice.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa

Liszt Music is glamour, sportive piano, 3 hands...the dress is perfect...

    Ask Joachim Kaiser...he will agree..

also its impossible to write about dresses when u make music...but ok....Liszt, Paganinni, Valentina in Pink and me...ok it happend

  • @ValentinaLisitsa You make this song look like it's as easy to play as "mary had a little lamb". But, for you, I'm sure that it is.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa @vicccccccxD Back to the future :P

  • Por dios, la habilidad que muestra es sorprendente y solo te fijas en el vestido?

  • @vicccccccxD What does the dress matter? You could try just listening...

  • @vicccccccxD you're wrong - actually the dress is very, very nice - tastes are different, isn't they?! This dress fits to the period of Paganini's piece.

Your own taste is not obligatory for others at all. And maybe you lack a bit fancy.

  • wow!

  • Impressive...

But i like more the Yundi's Li version, slowly but it delivers more feeling.

I think this version is too fast, i think mrs lisitsa is trying to play as faster as she can

  • Almost insanely good. :)

  • trinche huera...

  • That doesnt even look natural O.O

  • Shes amazing, learning this song right now. I also love her dress.. :D

  • amazing performance!

  • OMG

Why is she not in the kitchen?

  • i play piano and shes my role model

  • Der absolute Wahnsinn...mehr kann man dazu niet sagen^^

  • it's impossible for human to play it ;) But seriously I'm sure I never will be able to play it :(

  • Best... dress... EVAH!!!

  • ummm. . . WOW .__.

  • This is simply amazing..

  • @JosephBurns108

man they have a program thats free called youtube downloader,

It lets you download videos from here, then if you want you can convert them to a mp3, hope this helps :D

  • Damna Girl!!!!

Just a little mistake at the end... at least that the song goes like that

    Still

    DAMN GIRL!!!

  • How can I get some of these pieces on my Ipod? & I mean played by Ms. Valentina.

  • And there i was ... thinking i could play the piano.

    nooo no no no. no!

  • too fast

  • beautiful. and the most beautiful ive heard. its wondrous

  • Hmmm.. Too fast for me... But she's got talent :p

  • As soon as the video started I was like... wtf?

  • 3:42 gave me the chills <3<3

  • WOW

  • I would like her to play Hungarian Rhapsody 2. She'd ace it.

  • Why cant I play like this? or even close to this?

Btw, her version is closest to the midi Ive heard using virtual piano.

  • All i have to say is. HOOOOLLLLLYYYYY COOOOWWWWW!!!! 3:03 through the rest of the song is like jesus. she has chuck norris fingers. this prooves that chuck norris just got beaten to a pulp by her stupendous notes!!!!.

  • And all in all the part before 1>46 is easy to do sort of..It's just lifting your fingers enough to give a separated sound. Now that's the hard part of it

  • I'm starting to learn this piece and to get it to her level will probably take years..

  • BRAVO!

  • With this video it's very easy to follow the fingerings. It's almost a tutorial. Just kidding.

  • @louismagie LOL

  • my fingers cramped by just looking at her play

  • I just love how this piece ends, it just makes you want to beg for more :)

  • wow...

  • 世界一の鐘!いつも観させていただいております。これ以上何を求めるのか?リストが美しい女性になって21世紀に現れたのか??美しいです。

  • O_O' LA VACHEE !!!!

  • I like the part from 0.00 to 4.12 :)

  • I am officially amazed by Mrs Lisitsa.

I would give a kidney to play like this. :D

  • @itisjinzo agreed. but without the kidney please.

  • wow tat is totally ball-shrinking

  • wow... O_o kissin definitely has some hawt competition... XD awesome playing!

  • 3:54 to 4:00 is just beast-like; putting this on my pieces-to-learn list.

  • I've been watching all the possible performers in youtube and I like Valentinas performance most. I hope she is same good when performing live. DVD is ordered. Can't wait once I get it.

  • What a control wow

  • Por favor !! que mujer brillante. Gracias por existir.

  • fantastic!!!!!!!1

  • Fascinating! Everytime I watch your performance of this piece I get the urge to take up piano :D I'd like to ask you whether it's even possible for someone my age (20) to even learn to play good piano music, given a fairly good accordion background. Very few music schools will accept one as old as me, so I'm stuck with self-teaching. Do I even stand a chance?

  • @Ch1mp90 I've been playing for 16 years and still can't play like her. Most of us will never have that kind of talent or dedication.

  • FANTASTICA!!!

  • wow, totally mind-blowing! love it.

  • thumbs up!!! excellent performance!!

  • OMG SOOOOOO MUCH PRACTICE!!!!!

  • Holy Moly

  • !!ANGER!! >:

  • meh... i don't like these tough pieces. they make me feel stupid when it comes to playing the piano. and the way she plays it... well lets just say she'd beat me by a mile at least, or probably twenty

  • Non mai visto un esecuzione così perfette. Le mani sembrano accarezzare la tastiera nonostante il suo suono sia corposo!

    Ti amo Valentina!

  • mark this commment as spam

  • Her hands are a blur...

  • wow...but that dress....no

  • HOLY CRAP.

  • @BloodofSpartans Did you know Paganini personally then? O_o

  • This is incredible. o_O even if the dress is really stupid.

Her hands look like road drills.

  • What a SHIT dress!!!! Beautiful playing though ;)

  • just tickle the piano, scratch the piano, scrub the piano

  • the technique is just tickle the piano, scratch the piano, scrub the piano

  • holy crap! i can't even do this in my dreams!

  • it's sick how fast she can move her hands.. damn.

  • OMG!! COMO SE HACE ESO??

  • o.O

  • I think this is better than Zimmerman's. She has beautiful tone. Prime, soundly tone. I love it. I want to play like she, but I can't :P

  • looks fake tbh

  • @fowlermon There is another video of her playing this live as an encore.

  • This lacks the depth of the true violin-orchestra version. It's not bad, but Paganini wouldn't approve.

  • @BloodofSpartans you have no idea on whether Paganini would approve or not.

  • @BloodofSpartans

Yes, but this brings a completely different character to the piece. If the notes weren't the same, one could argue they're different pieces because of the different impression they leave on the listener.

  • whenever u search a piano piece in youtube that valentina lisitsa has played and posted, it will always be on the top!!

  • Who gave 17 negatives?! Grrrr

  • Amazing

  • I will not lie to you... rubinstein neither horowitz are at your level.

  • you are the best...I love you!

  • Eugh, bit too fast. No way near the same amount of passion in the piece as Kissin puts in.

  • @themask70 I agree that it may be a tad too fast. I mean, she is a spectacular, gifted pianist (don't get me wrong... one of the greatest techniques alive), but it may be a tad quick.

That being said, I'd be very, very happy if I could even play this slightly slow, haha!

  • uffff imprecionante ._.

    me gusto mucho, estuvo perfecto

  • Je suis désolé que je ne puisse regarder cette vidéo sans tâcher les sensations que j'éprouve en écoutant cette musique...

  • great (hands + IQ + expression) = magnificent playing ><

  • wow i think i just found someone that can rival freeking Evgeny Kissin's La Campanella :P

  • @Roner101 naaah kissin is better, she makes some small pauses here and there. i really dont think theres anyone that can rival kissin TECHNICALLY on this piece. shes pretty good though.

  • so ...what am I supossed to listen to after this....?

  • i love how Liszt wrote this as an etude

  • @wordlife94 Did Pagannini not write this? I thought Liszt copied it for piano.

  • @DaHappyGang

Yes Paganini wrote this for the violin. Listz simply took the theme from Paganini and rearranged this for the piano. Praise Listz for doing this because it this is way better than strings.

  • Only Liszt...

  • i LOVE 3:41 on ward. it's the most perfect song ever, and i love it with my life.

  • Holy Jesus Christ of all that is Holy, I try but I fail, keep Including this win.

  • Wooo Sugoiiii!!

Me Encanto Yo Quiero Aprender A Tocar Asi

Aunque Creo Que Ya Es Tarde Por Que Se Empieza Desde Muy

Pequeño No?¿ Y Yo Con 15 :S No Creo Que Pueda

  • OMG!!!she has just light fingers!!!

  • I like how Liszt transcribed a Paginini violin concerto into this excellent etude. And what a coincidence that it can really help with your technique on the piano.

  • Brilliant...actually, this video should be blocked from the audience, leastwise from those who want to learn playing on the piano since it looks like you need to be born on a different planet to do this.

  • @szellajos pontosan... Couldn't agree more... She has about ten invisible fingers picking out notes all over the place..... Pablo de Sarasate once commented "12 hours of practice a day, 7 days a week, and they call that genius???"

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD O_____O AMAZING!!!

  • liszt was a big genius.

  • @kamikaze9531 He was indeed. In fact he was considered to be one of the most gifted virtousos of the Romanitc period.

  • It sounds so nice!! But if you put the volume off and just watch the video, it seems as if she was smashing the piano because of the speed XD

  • This is honestly how I imagine Liszt would have played it =D

  • Thumbs up if any part between 3:03 and 4:11 gave you the chills. (:

This is honestly the most perfect interpretation. Ever. I bet God listens to this. :)
