  • Brilliant. Many thanks to MIT and Prof Lewin in particular for these awesome lectures.

  • He Deserved a Standing Ovation.

  • Yes professor Lewin You touch my life. Newton and Einstein, and Maxwell is grate but Your explanation is famous. Thank You a lot. Best regards from Bihac.

  • Thank you Dr.Walter Lewin. I´m 38 years old and your lectures have been a great inspiration to study physics this year at the university. I´m also looking forward to watching 8.02 videos.

  • i liked to much thi video Physics I: Classical Mechanics good teacher!!! =)

  • Wow. After 35 lectures, I almost feel like an actual student of his. Thanks Prof. Lewin!

  • @HunterDX77M : After 35 lectures, you are definitely a student of it!

  • Teaching math, I can really appreciate the beauty of the eloquence of his teaching style and convictions in truths. Kudos to MIT and Professor for his outstanding performances. They were a pleasure to watch and hopefully these series have inspired a generation to create a better society... With Best Wishes.

  • Thanks to everybody who make MIT opencourse possible. Its helping me a lot with my study. It's great all those good teachers with good explanations.

  • Thanks to everybody who make MIT opencourse aware. Its helping me a lot with study!!!

  • Is there any student who see himself today, 11 years later?

  • @peileil i guess not lol

  • Thank you so much. I had cancer in my junior year of engineering and was never able to go back. Now I am refreshing my memory through your lectures and I believe that I will be able to get back in the swing of things. Thank you MIT and Walter Lewin. I owe you so much and know now that I can graduate.

  • Even though I am not attending MIT, I cried at the end because I used this guy's video to help me get through the course I am taking at my local university.

  • Really enjoyed.

Thanks prof for your hard work and preparation

    Yee meng wah

  • so funny that he says the same thing 3 years later in his first lecture of 8.02. Nice hair cut by the way, and the shirt too.

  • physics can be boring but it's all about how it's presented. when i went to my community college to take physics 1: classical mechanics, i found it quite boring and i ended up with a C for my final grade. now if you were to take Professor Lewin and place him in my community college physics i classroom, i would've definitely acquired an A for my final grade, because this guy makes physics fun and interesting. his lectures are more entertaining than watching a movie or playing video games.

  • i've kind of hated to last days of class

  • Professor - I take my hat off to you. I have never ever encountered a better teacher! I am 37, didn't study physics after the age of 15 but have always loved the subject. These 35 lectures have been fantastic! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I cannot wait to start 8.02!

  • These videos were great, really informative, memorable and entertaining, so much better than any of the other lecture videos I have seen.

  • i love physics, that is my problem.

  • PHYSICS WIN!

  • If I may. The universe needs to eat just as us humans. I sometimes ponder if just that to be the utlimate reality.

  • would the light not be initially gamma and then redshifted to x rays?

  • Thanks a lot. Your lectures are great.

  • Thanks for these videos. You're changing a lot of lives.

  • Hello from Australia.

Thank you so much Prof Walter Lewin and MIT, for these outstanding physics lectures and demonstrations. And for the insight into your fascinating research on X-ray bursters. Awesome stuff ! These videos are best possible application for YouTube. (I'm actually a food technologist, not a physicist, but astronomy is also a hobby of mine.) I'll now look forward to clicking onto the electricity and magnetism lectures. Thank you again and all the best with your research.

  • Many thanks for these videos. I've just finished watching all of 8.01, it's been a huge help in my studies and should I ever end up teaching physics myself, I'll be sure to come back here and look for inspiration.

  • Thank you Prof. Lewin. I teach Physics at High School and you has been a source of inspiration for my courses. A great model of teaching excellence. Thanks a lot.

  • "Vielen Dank" form Germany for uploading this!

I watched the whole course - and learned a lot, i think im going to study this now ;-)

  • True love true passion for Physics! An example to me an to all attended all lectures as i did.
