The 575 rides really well and in 2008 they made it stiffer in the rear end and I wish they custom made a ASR 5 29r, that would sell well for us tall lanky fellas like me at 6ft 7in. The problems I had with my 2008 575 were the shock bolts and how soft the aluminum is and they cost $100 to replace. This bike climbs so well in the propedal setting #3 at your rider weight.
@dko687 & therelfroboi93 In the moutian states cup in colorado there are some top pros who use it for crosscountry and sometimes for 4x so it really is and all around bike
Great video and very professional. I am curious to know why 575 shouldn't be raced on...I think i heard the word "supple" which would characterize the bike/ suspension as responsive. Wouldn't that be something you would look for in a bike for competition. The alloy version is 28lbs, a pound more than it's competitor the fuel ex, which is 27lbs. Dropping a couple pounds shouldn't be that difficult. So is this bike completely ruled out of racing?
Depends what you use it for but Super D awesome!! 12/24 hour enduros awesome XC yeah I agree but it is not designed for XC racing. Ride one and check it out, I loved mine it was awesome. I had to sell it cause I was laid off.
Been riding an '08 model for a year now. Great all-around do-it-all bike. From lunch time rides to 30 mile epics, it's a confidence inspiring ride that I'm still learning to make full use off. Big boys like myself (240lbs) should consider a bolt on rear hub and front through-axle hub.
DAMN FINE WELDS!!

YETI > SPECIALIZED, INTENSE, and ELLSWORTH.

just look at the geometry. Not at all suitable for a racebike.

@therealfroboi93 its not the weight
the more travel, the more energy goes into compressing the shock instead of to the rear wheel

Can you make a review on the asr-7 and the 303r dh? Thanx. Yeti is by far the best bike company. Can wait to get my next one.

Once you ride a yeti, you'll never ride anything else. Hands-down, best aggressive trail bike out there.
