  • its fucking sad i have watched this video a million times and have always drank shine, its the liberal and shit ass gov hippies that would turn in someone like this, no reason RIP. i hope you are sippin on some in heaven.

  • @totalglitch Its the hippies and liberals who want this legal without the TeapartyConservatives trying to tax it to the point you need to be pretty well off to even make it legally.

  • ...and when it gets steam and heat up there...it gets harder than a ministers pecker!! :O ;)

  • @rmroza lol

  • @rmroza olololololololol

  • ...cuz when i'm gone, the liquors gone...and i'm just about gone! God love him!!

  • I would have paid him to learn how to make his licker. Man what a shame.

  • Thank ya'll Bradley Boys and Popcorn for the experience. This was a cool video, hell Id hang with these fellas they seem like some good folks.

  • I wonder why Popcorn uses sugar in his wash. As far as i know you can never make a real whisky using sugar in wash. I am also surprised that he says slow run of the still creates a perfect spirit, but he runs his still rather quickly.

  • The last damn run of liquor=the end of an era, a piece of history lost forever.

  • thats just a piss pot popcorn your the man

  • may popcorn sutton RIP

  • think about this the state of tennesee, you are fucking evil murderes, your acts murdered this man ......LEAVE PEOPLE BE you pieces of shit outta hell!

  • It goes to show you freedom isn't free. It is a terrable thing to do what the law has done to this man who all he wanted to do is make a living and what he enjoyed was the freedom that we all wish we could have. But the law and Govorment don't want you to have unless you give part of it to them. And that isn't freedom at all. It is to bad he died i would like to have met this great man it is to bad he died on my birthday.

  • a great american murdered by a state*&^_*(&)*% so what he made and sold a little, alll the law cares about is tax revenue,,,fucking murder,s

  • @stratcat70 i had heard that his charges also had something to do with possesion of a firearm as wel, not just moonshine related.

I bet it was just some old hunting rifle he had sittin on his mantle for 50+ years that barely got a monthly glance or something.. (Thats just how i picture it in my head.. lol)

as for a little, well I believe his first bust involved like 800 gallons or so the rumor goes..cant see him having that much at once tho.. lol Popcorn is legendary! lol

  • I wonder if ol' J.B is still around? He seems like a cool guy himself.

  • what gauge copper was he using anyone know?

  • Thanks to the dislikes, it looks like we've got a joint up there, cool!

I have to ask, why the dislikes? He was most likely a kindly old man, didn't hurt anybody who didn't already know the effects of the likker, knowing the risks. I'm in the North unfortunately, and when I'm down south there's friggin dry counties!!! 0_0 No beer in my fridge? I'd be PISSED! So we take a truck full of beer to the holler lol But we'd usually get a Moonshine hook up in return, no supply even to wait for :(

  • The worst tragedy suffered by the U.S?

    The loss of Popcorn Sutton

  • What's bullshit is this man n his friend aren't hurting anybody!! This ABC police that say they can't make this likker cause they don't pay taxes on it. BULLSHIT!!!! DON'T WE PAY ENOUGH TAXES? AND U KNOW THESE LAWS N CRAP R BECAUSE OF BIG LIQUOR BUSINESSES PAYING OFF CONGRESSMEN N WOMEN TO MAKE THESE LAWS CAUSE THERE LOSING MONEY CAUSE PEOPLE WANT WHITE LIGHTNING INSTEAD OF UR OVERPRICED, UNDER PROOFED LIQUOR!!!! A GOOD MAN IS DEAD CAUSE OF BIG BUSINESS. BULLSHIT!!!!!! Love u always popcorn.

  • @voche68 actually the laws are to keep everything safe and honest.

  • HARDER THAN A MINISTER'S PECKER

  • god bless POPCORN and JB,I WOULD HAVE PAID TO BE THERE WHEN THEY DID THIS,i could watch this video a thousand times, wow

  • they should have left him alone and let him make his moon shine he never hurt any body he just could not bare going to jail rip pop corn

  • godbless popcorn sutton!

  • happy to know this is in my blood

  • when was this film made? short time before his death? This guy is really interesting. His stories are great. Shame that he died.

  • turn on the audio recognition thing its hilarious

  • He died like 2 years ago.

  • wtf when did he die hes on the tv show moonshiners on discovery channel

  • @jonnboy1234567890 Mr. Sutton committed suicide on March 16, 2009 after being sentenced to 18 months in a federal prison. He had been recently diagnosed with cancer and wanted to die at home as opposed to a jail cell. He died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

  • @Southernjuggalo63 You are WRONG. Google is your friend.... it isn't hard to find.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller YOUR BOTH FUCKING WRONG FOR MAKING THESE ACCUSATIONS. THEY NEVER SAID HOW HE KILLED HIMSELF, SO PLEASE STOP MAKING THINGS UP

  • @patti628: You're an idiot. They did in fact say how he killed himself: by running a hose from his exhaust into his car and running the engine.

Why don't you piss off and check your facts before you start cussing out people on their own videos you moron?

  • @PooPoo2U dude all he had were a- model fords. there open. they never released the details of his death. anyone can put anything on wiki or google comeone bro

  • @patti628: If anyone can use Google or Wiki perhaps you should try it: Model AA trucks do in fact have windows.

I didn't have to consult either anyway, my ex brother-in-law works for the SO in Cocke County and he was the one who told me, and it has since been corroborated by his own daughter.

  • @PooPoo2U wow dumbass his trucks even in the video its all open. your the dumbass

  • @Southernjuggalo63 No. Carbon Monoxide poisoning killed him.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller what type of cancer?

  • @jonnboy1234567890 The tv show uses clips from this video...

  • @jonnboy1234567890 all the clips on moonshiners are from this dvd and other interviews with him.

  • @jonnboy1234567890 no that show is using clips from this documentary, they explained that he is dead and are showing him as more of a tribute.

  • See the steam comin outta there? Thats likker imma losin!

  • is J.B still alive?

  • God damn I am heartbroken... Southern born and raised, shine runs in my family. Mr Sutton, sir, you will be greatly missed.

  • was he already facing time when he made this?

  • @emmittrudd yes

  • Mr.Sutton is gone and now the government subsidizes farmers to make corn liquor for fuel...

  • Popcorn was the man!

  • is J.B. still making liquor?

  • @nopalero23 -.-

  • @mememojo ahaha ill take that as a maybe

  • I think I'm going to write a cookbook/how to book commemorating Popcorn Sutton's little tricks... for instance "best dam biscuits" - 1/2 wheat bran, 1/2 rice flour and water, or

"best dam cough medicine" - honey, candy, lemon juice, pepper, liquor.

This guy gives out so many little tips and tricks throughout these videos! Everyone could learn a thing or two on how to live a little cheaper and easier off Popcorn's advice!

  • what he talking about when he said tempering it with water brings the proof down. 8:40

What does tempering mean? How does he temper it?

  • @IndianaTrapper4 "Tempering it with water" means that you take all the drinkable moonshine from that run and put it a barrel and determine what proof it is and add water to cut or temper the moonshine to a lower proof most likely about 90 proof. It should be noted that Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Makers Mark, Wild Turkey also cuts their bourbons to their advertised proof. A example of barrel proof bourbon is Booker Noe Single Barrel Bourbon and it about 125 to 130 proof

  • @gullreefclub thanks!

  • 3 dislikes??? lets geet em!!!

  • Some nosy sum'bitch ill see it and call the law on yee.... I love it !!!!

  • god bless you Popcorn Sutton and J.B.

  • he drunk is fer da alkyhal lol

  • But this guy soldiered on like a pro till the very end and thats why i love popcorn!

  • He sure does sound depressed and i dont know why

  • @deerducks67 He was actually quite ill at the time :(, imagine a man putting a brave face on a situation that he has no control over.

  • Exactly what I was looking for....might just be a time in our near future of america that making moonshine might be the only way to have antiseptic and, of course.., medicinal drink

  • this made me think that thank fuck I grow my own um..vegetables... in the forrest and dont pay no tax on that fine eatin'

  • @Morthund You got the best way of living like me farming me some meat, milk and eggs

  • @DevonHomeBrew

damn right! if you don't mind me saying, you seem like a young man with his head screwed on the right way

guess I had me head screwed on the right way, then I twisted it for a fair spell, but now it's screwed on right

    again

I hope that you, sir, will escape any such unessecary diversions (except for the acid and weed, they's the GOOD diversions, I reckon)

...it's the likkere'll killya (hic) but fuckit it's a great way to go

  • @Morthund I been raised in the south west of england farming and living off the land.

  • My dad side is from TN and NC and he took me there for a visit few times and ive been longing to live there ever since ....Then i met a feller named "Aubrey Jones" who was born and raised in NC he drawed me a picture showing me how to amke and cook it but i lost it just after he died in the 90s.............POPCORN seemed like a real fine MAN and its hard to fine good folks like that anymore.......Sincerely Tony of Charleston,South Carolina

  • god bless this man the world is now darker

  • MOONSHINE IS MY LIFEBLOOD!!!

  • Likker, that's what she said

  • i feel like crying for that poor guy the way he keeps saying i know this is my last and he dose kill himself at the end so sad and enraging

  • does anyone get the eerie feeling he knew what he was going to do when he made this? i get the feeling he keeps hinting at it...

  • have y'all noticed how he talks of being gone=dead,i think he'd made mind up what he's going to do.,strange huh? the end of part 6,ive never seen.,& again ty so much for putting this back on.

  • @toonful he killed himself a short while back ..carbon dioxide inhalation i think

  • have y'all noticed how he talks of being gone=dead,i think he'd made mind up what he's going to do.,strange huh?

  • I've always wanted to try making "likker" but I'm afraid I wouldn't get the recipe right and make myself or one of my friends blind or kill one of us so I never tried

  • @dlmsuperdave Are you kidding me? Just stick to sugar, water, yeast, tomato paste, 3 lbs of potatoes, and yeast. Can't go wrong. And no matter how you make it you aren't going to make anyone dead or blind. That came from old timers who used old radiators and added methanol to make it stronger. Best beginner recipe is to use 20 lbs of sugar, 6.5 gal. of water, and one package of super yeast. Follow directions on super yeast packet

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller am making 1 gallon as a tester. its sugar, water, and yeast. but i was wondering, will it make methanol. if so how is methanol made? is it just from the corn?

  • @skaterdude1553 Methanol is WOOD ALCOHOL. and is something you can actually go out and buy. It isn't a direct by product of ethanol production. Anytime alcohol is produced, a small amount of methyl alcohol is made right along with it. Sugar, water, and yeast are not going to ever produce toxic amounts of methanol. Even using corn is fine. Before toxicity levels were known, methanol was added to moonshine to add kick. You can't produce toxic levels of meth. while making shine unless you try to.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller I am from Kentucky and that old radiator whisky will twist your ass and fuck u up big time drunk I have seen people lose careers and wifes over the goddamn shit

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller Right. as long as you stay away from any wood product that would make methanol then youre good on recipe. Make sure your still is stainless steel or copper and make sure if you use solder to use the lead free stuff. Keep your worm/copper clean. Green = dead meat.

  • @TheWmartn420 I use a simple set up on a stove top. Glass pickle jar and polypropylene tubing.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller Tomato paste? Really? Never made likker with any sort of tomato paste in it, not saying that i'm going to try now just saying that's obserd, i asked friends that's done this that question they all laughed at me so idk ware your getting your info from.

  • @1979coyote They shouldn't laugh if they've never tried it. The paste is to keep the acidity levels up when making a simple sugar wash. I obtained the information from the video series "Making Moonshine volumes 1 and 2". I've tried it. It works. It's actually the only specific recipe that you learn from both videos. The only absurdity would be one who has never done it or has heard nothing about it calling it absurd. It's used in a simple, sugar based wash that turns out as a simple rum.

  • @dlmsuperdave The toxic components have a lower boiling point and come off first. This is why the first bit is discarded, once the system is up to temp these toxic chemicals have already passed and result should be near pure.

  • JB musta had a bad accident at some point...he looks like it hurts for him to walk..
