  • compost burns the young roots of many plants. You don't know what is in the compost eather. And I find that a lot of compost added to the soil containing peat and added nutrients.

  • at 0:15 is some one screaming in the backround??

  • yer gonna have to put the cat down if you want yer garden to be safe!hehe

  • The cat is gorgeous. I used to have one just like it. He was my best companion for 16 YRS. He would have done the same thing. Just curious, did Oscar actually leave the garden alone and let the veggies grow or did he use the pots as a litter box eventually?

  • @Blackpaw9802 He eventually left them alone!

  • his compost came from a store bought bag ---- eeeewwwwwwwwww

  • thanks for this, nice cat by the way :)

  • @themightyscythe and what you dont realize is you can get in a shit load of trouble acting as a market director for their chemical fertilizer.....They could have you for lunch.....

All you cat lovers need to save your Vacum bags and spread it around the top of your plants. Cat hait is a natural organic fertilizer and it works better and safer than over priced miracle grow wil ever work and its completely safe..Do some research on cat hair for fertilizer...........

  • Cool cat, I have same model less the tail.

  • @441rider no way me too!, car crash?

  • @nat33ify

No just a Manx from the Isle of man. :o) Garden gowing and growing well despite hazy cruddy contrail skies! LOL!

  • Cat`s gone for last minute of this video. ?

  • @mreisma

What do you think it is? It provides nutrients in the soil, it's not some kind of poison like pesticides. Organic food is more expensive since agriculture without these "organic" restrictions is more efficient. It's more expensive and otherwise practically the same so I don't buy it. IMHO the greatest upside of organic agriculture is that all the substances you use are renewable. But if you just want a good crop and don't care about this, why not use a fertilizer from petrol then? :)

  • hahaha ozz you little shit bag!!!!!

  • 3:46 BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • You would think he would remove the weeds out of the cracks in the patio slabs

  • Take care and may all be happy and well. -JK

  • YOU LITTLE SHITBAG.. hahaha best ever.

  • Thats just going to be the cat litter box

  • @Lotomotiv - Hmm.. they did say they would cover it from the cat... but you know... more fertilizer is never bad, right?! XD !!

  • I like the long rectangular planter. Where did you get that one?

  • wow thats cool

  • at least use a watering can... lol

  • 1:40 I like having helpers like that :) MEOW

  • I know Miracle Gro isn't any good. Found out myself when the tomatoes grew hard and tasteless. The peppers had lots of leaves but no fruit..

  • HAHAHAHAHA! ITS A CAT! THERE'S A CAT IN THE VIDEO!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • First Miracle gro is BS, actually BS is better.

  • NuclearGrow!?

  • How do you keep insects from eating your vegetable plants.?????????????

  • lmao osc you little shitbag ..... NO , try making you own compost people out of what you dnt eat ,,, arrrrrgghhhhh the circule of life

  • Never knew that compost came in plastic bags.... strange.... What that cost $30? lol

  • 5 STARS FOR THE CAT HAHA. NICE VID!!!

  • @XXXReptilesRockXXX it would be funnier if the cat squatted down into one of the pots and did a crap, lol wonder how the man would have reacted? reigned the cats neck?lol

  • i can see you use tender loving care in what you do plants love it ! : ) good job

  • ya know.....I don't wear gloves when I garden. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I can appreciate the dirt under my fingernails because I know I earned that dirt. Gloves? Kind of like barbecuing with out BBQ sauce.

  • @everythingeco When handling packaged commercial soils it can be a good idea, many contain higher then usual concentrations of Anthrax and other harmful bacteria. Dust-mask for your face is also recommended. (they actually say this on the packet so u can't sue)

  • a greenhouse, something the blocks air flow and keeps in heat, is needed. Mesh might be cool to keep out bugs though. Don't be offended, aint no thing, I'm sure there is something you could teach me. We all got gaps man ; )

  • Jamesford, you need some help with this stuff lol, but that's cool, everyone needs to start somewhere. To many seeds in the pots, to much chemcrapgrow, and the roots are under the plant so the stuff with the fertilized needs to be down there with the roots, and if you use to much you can burn up the plants. I guess watering can leach the crap down, but not if you use one liter of water where you need probably 5 or more or more, especially to start the seeds. Too many seeds, and mesh doesn't make

  • @themightyscythe You're a marketing director for Chemicalcrapgrow? Report me too ya snotball! Tell yer lawyers to stuff some up their arses and see if they can grow a seed of humanity! Ask the president how he likes his 85 IQ low level marketing mutts running around threatening people ... did you like your job? lol Tell em to come get me ... I don't even dislike Chemcrap Grow and I just made up the name, but I do despise them now Chemcrapgrow Chemcrapgrow Chemcrapgrow Chemcrapgrow Chemcrapgrow

  • Yay urban gardening!!!! woooooooooooooo!!!

  • You obviously don't understand what Miracle Gro and other chemical compounds do to the soil and water supply and even fish. Miracle Gro Should be illegal!

  • Umm nice vid man but don't u have to mix the compost around with the soil?

  • Clever use of a small space.

  • Funny cat....great set up especially since you only seem to have a cement backyard.....

  • lol..love the cat... you little shit bagg ..noo...i like how he listins to you then hes like oh well ..wat the fuck u gonna do about it

  • Hey, nice vid :) am thinking of kicking off some veg out the back garden meself, how did this batch turn out for you? Once I pull up some crappy old paving stones then I should have 2 areas about 10x20 foot, am looking forward to giving it a go :D

  • twoesme, after readin' your comment, made me laugh, but when plantin' sweet corn, corn requires lotsa water and nutrients and space, to grow the corn in "grow bags",....hmm....i don't think one will meet with success,....gotta give the corn lotsa space for it to grow, maybe try growin' tomatoes or other veggies that don't need too much space, take care ya all and greets from kerétaro!

  • Thankyou for making me laugh so much after reading your comment, especially when you blamed the chem trails killing your corn lol....i recorded some chemtrails going on in the midlands just a few days ago (scary) anyway back to video clip, MAKE YOUR OWN COMPOST!!

  • oh no!!! first .. make your own compost .. it hurts seeing someone buying compost in 5 L bags! next point - if you want to raise seeds than use special planting soil! it has no addition of nutrients and fertilizers - this is good für small plants because they will spread their roots to reach the minerals (like in mother nature) and this makes them strong and healthy! put this in mind and also into practise! ;) have a nice day ;)

  • great cat

  • good effort thank you!

  • I don't have an outside cat, so this will work fabulous for me. Thank you

  • Follow the the directions on the back of the seed packets, look up how to compost on google, and buy organic soil from the store for like 4 dollars a bag.

you can also purchase organic seeds online or at hydroponic stores. no sense in putting effort into a garden that slowly kills you, lol, but not really laughing.

check out a movie called "The Furture of Food".

  • Miracle Grow... Yuck. Organic is the ONLY way to grow. Good effort though. Thanks for showing people what is possible.

  • My grandmother grew the world's largest cuccumber (guiness book) in miracle grow. But she mixed it in to her native soil in north Texas. :)

  • lmfao that was hilarious

  • Cat's a joker....

  • You little shit bag.......Classic!

  • Great video! The cat is pretty freakin' cute!

  • never seen compost in a bag before.nice vid.

  • how did you keep your cat and the neighborhood cats from digging up your veggies? Everytime I plant seeds or bulbs either my cats or the squirrels get them.

  • get a dog :)

  • cover your soil with 3'4" gravel. this of course works best with some plants better than others. Not very practical, but neither is having cats, LOL

  • i am just eating some pots which i have grown on my roof terrace in notting hill, london lovely they are. everyone with a garden, balcony or terrace should be doing this

  • you little shit bag lol cant stop laughing

  • sponsored by miracle grow

  • you little shit bag lol

  • what veg is in the trough??

  • Great vid. Nice, tidy, to the point garden. One comment, though. It seems you planted a whole pack of seeds into each container. Those containers can only support one of some of the plants, such as the pepper, so you will wind up thinning away tons of pepper sprouts and such, won't you? Those large plants should be started, and then the single seedling planted. Great cat.

  • Don't spill the dirt that stuff is like gold!

  • Your NOT USING ORGANIC!!! Your food will be loaded with chemicals, that are slowly depleting our food supply. Fluoridated water, too??? Fluoride is for teeth, not for our water supply.

  • you are right but Fluoride is actually BAD for your teeth despite what we have been taught.look it up online.i was shocked too.i have been using an organic tooth paste for the past few years and my teeth feel alot better.

  • im trying to grow potato's this year.. some good video on you tube about that..

more and more people are getting back into the gardens lately..

  • I would think most likely because of the bad economy, at least here in the US.

  • remember...asaparagus needs to sit a year before you harvest.....if you pick it the first year, it wont do as well as you like. kat

  • Is there a follow on bit of film of the veg growing or fully grown ??

  • miracle-gro is derived from petrol. better to use organic.

  • i agree with mreisma, miracle gro is nasty stuff. people only try it when they don't know what it is. check out red worm composting. I reuse the same soil time after time by just adding compost and earthworm castings, saves money trash microorganisms, etc. miracle gro can't even compare. might also be why your crop failed, mg actually extends grow times.

  • I just started a redworm composting bin. Supposedly the castings are so good for your plants that it practically immunizes them against disease. It also helps plants bear the stress of drought better than plants that have not been treated with worm castings. Something to think about!

  • Oh no!! I just started my seeds in miracle gro in the house. : (

    What was I thinking? LOL

  • @sumthinkool What's wrong with miracle grow?

  • @mammal46 I found about 2 pounds of silicon-like garbage in the one and only bag I've ever bought. I got a refund from the company.

As for the dirt, I still used it, no problems with it.

  • @mreisma so what, it's derived from petrol. how come plants grow in it then?

  • @petrmej if u want to eat shit for food then b our guest, plants grow because thats what plants do but. there is a reason why organic food is expensive, google it.
