Its extremely slow, the handling sucks overall, and even the 2011 models still rely on rear drum brakes which gives it a longer 60-0 braking distance than a '11 Toyota Sienna which is 1,700 pounds heavier than a Corolla.

It's reliable, safe, and cheap, but nobody who actually likes cars would like a Corolla.

I too love my Corolla. I have a 2005 Corolla XRS that I bought with 11k miles on it. I now have 128k, and the only thing I've had to do outside of routine maint. is a thermostat. Wonderful car, and I'd buy another. Very reliable, fun, and safe.

Well that can happen in any car, not only the Toyota Corolla, and it all depends on the driver, not the car. You can play loud music in any car and not hear the fire engines. But if you are a responsible driver and are aware of your surroundings, there is no reason why you shouldn't hear emergency vehicles, and like I said, there is no way they make them that quiet. Has a fire engine ever driven by your car blaring its horn? I think its loud enough to make you deaf if your beside it for too long

My friend got a 08 MDX. And he doesnt hear any road noise or wind noise. But at the same time if a car honks or if a cop goes, he has no problems hearing that. I think its the way they are designed. However, this Ad was a very poor way of describing that.

no vehicle right now can overcome wind or road noise. there is ALWAYS wind and road noise. the MDX just has "hushed" it more and by creating a low coefficient of drag into the design and creating a sleek design, the air isn't disrupted as much and so there is less wind noise. do 100km/h for a min and then slam on the breaks to a stop.... you'll definitely notice a difference.

I hope Toyota decreases everything because it doesn't belong in the US. I didn't loose my job, but there are a lot of people in my state of Michigan that have because of Toyota. In 2007 Toyota advertised the prius got 60 mpg and in 2008 they advertise it gets 44 mpg. In 2007 they advertised the corolla got 44 mpg and in 2008 they advertise 34. They lied through their teeth.
