THESE WERE THE BEST DAYS EVER! YOUR MUSIC IS FANTASTIC! DO YOU REMEMBER STEVE FROM THE BRASS BELL,HACKENSAK N.J.? I'M HIS WIFE,WE USE TO SEE YOUR BAND THERE! LOVED IT!
Thanks for the trip back to the wild, wonderful 70's! I was a fan of this band when they played at the George Inn in McAfee NJ. They definitely had a Iggy-Bowie style, with a bit of T-Rex, Mott the Hoople thrown in. Very accomplished musicians, good song writing and Roth's stage presence was mesmerizing.
What's trippy about all this is that Another Pretty Face never made it bigger than they did. They wrote some great glam rock songs that sound as good as Bowie and Mott the Hoople. I can totally picture some of their songs (including the one in this video) being catchy enough to be played on the radio endlessly or heard in the background of scenes in Hollywood movies.
Man.. I missed out on T. Roth & APF by about a decade. I wish I could've been there! In the past year or two, I've come really appreciate T (Terry) Roth's voice and musical talents. To me, it's very "Billy Joel"-like, with a good mix of Queen's Freddy Mercury.
Oh geez, I've been searching for this for years, I knew them and even asked Michael Levine about them, he was their manager at one point before he moveed to Cali and became a successful PR guy. Thanks you so much!
Absolutely great! I've got to dig out my old slides from NJ. We all had hair then! And we always had a great time when APF played. Thanks for posting these. And "T", thanks for all the great memories. I'm sure there's more to come.
This brings back memories. Love T. Roth. Remember them playing in Rochester, NY at the Penny Arcade in the 70's.
