you can catch 20lb+ browns in donnells reservoir in california but the problem is you have to helicopter a boat in and out theres no bank access and a 2 mile hike in some very rough terrain. donnells is on highway 108 in tuolumne county about an hour drive from sonora california. it gets maybe 4 visitors a year. elevation 5500 feet
