I am new to fishing and I have gotten a few books but I still a lot that I don't understand. For example:

I can't figure out what the diffrentce between a spinner rod and a bait casting rod

What is the point of spinnerbaits?

And can anyone give me some advice on what lures or bait I should use for lake trout

fishing

I would extremely appreciate any other helpful tips please help me out

well I would say for lake trout shiny spoons such as mepps or minnows, depending on the depth a downrigger is optional
