  • Why don't you use a knife to spread out the chocolate??

  • Woah your hot!

  • must have been really hard to stir it for that long! looks like u stirred it reely long when u sped the video up lol how long was it? :) ty

  • @zazaalobffs4ever Hehe umm maybe ten minutes?

  • The toffee looks really white you have to cook it for longer until it has a dark golden colour.

  • Everyone does this the hard way, you are supposed to melt the butter first then add the sugar. Also why does everyone use the thermometer? What happened when people way back didn't invent the thermometer? They looked at how brown the toffee got. P.S. Why did you edit the video

  • @Pudalougie Why wouldn't I edit it...? :P

  • OK, it said you can use nuts in this recipe. NOT if you want to make TRADITIONAL English toffee you don't. TRADITIONAL English toffee does NOT, repeat does NOT, have nuts in it. Putting nuts in it is making AMERICAN toffee, NOT ENGLISH TOFFEE.

  • @crushed51 Thanks bro...

  • American women are soo much better than ours.

    Your so hot!!

  • @molz2k7 I Canadian. :P Thanks though, are you determining this from THIS video or from my make up video... Because I look pretty hot in that one. ;)

  • Toffee looks great but you look better. Great pickup line much!?

  • @BombDiggetz Haha umm thanks... :P I'm like 14 in this video... :P

  • lol im definately trying it and im english

  • Do we have to use a stock pot can we use a sauce pan my parents won't let me because they think i might burn it. :(

  • @TheBunkitty You can use a saucepan, but it might bubble over so be careful! And if you constantly stir it, it won't burn.

  • @Haileyrocks360 You said it was butter that you used for the toffee, but it looks like you got it from a margerine tub. Are you using butter or margerine for this toffee?

  • Good job hailey..the music added flavor also!

  • Good job hailey..the music added flavor also!

  • its lyk chocolate luv the american accent well its coz im from Australia (:

  • @DaniMaddi2430 lol I'm totally Canadian

  • @Haileyrocks360 lol same thing i thin lol XD

  • @DaniMaddi2430 Haha apparently Americans can tell that I'm Canadian. They actually are different! :P

  • @Haileyrocks360 hahaha lol really (:

  • why would you use a reasealable bag? its called a spoon!

  • fuck your adorable

also this is just me but i would cook it for a bit longer just to get the color nice and browny.

  • thanks so much, i always wanted to make toffee! It's always so expensive to buy.

  • No problem everyone. :)

  • thanks

  • this is my favorite dessert, thanks for the video

  • why didnt you ise a knife or something to spread the chocolate?

  • great recipe I used the better homes and gardens cook book, same thing, but I put crushed almonds on it. mmmmm just add when the chocholate is still warm. And If U use a slightly smaller pot it will not burn as easily and you don't have to stir as much. :) You are a good cook too. I looked this up because I was suspicious about all the butter in my recipe but thats what makes it taste so good lol.

  • Ooh thanks for the tip! Also, thank you for the compliment. :P :)

  • Looks goods, I tried a betty crocker recipe for Cashew Toffee...made the same way but with white chocolate and a cup of cashews...it's good, but the chocolate's not sticking to the toffee :(...was your toffee really hard or did it stay fairly soft?

  • Wow lol its Luc C from school I didn't know you had a youtube channel rofl I was looking for sponge toffee and found this lol. btw nice job on teh toffee :D

  • Hahaha that's awesome.

  • couldn't you just use a palette knife to smooth the chocolate?

  • Comment removed

  • Aww looks good xD lmao, I love the office joke.

  • tried it today... I don't think i let it stay on the stove long enough. It's kind of a soft toffee at the moment. Put it in the fridge to see if it'll harden up. May try it again.

  • Wow, thanks a lot for trying it! Yeah you have to boil it for a decent amount of time. And hey, there is NOTHING wrong with soft toffee and chocolate!

  • So I was reading your info in the description, and you mentioned using smarties. And i recently discovered that Smarties are not widely available in the US and i wasn't sure if that was true or not. So I looked at your channel and sure enough, you're CANADIAN! (woo). Great recipe i'll be following - thanks

  • Haha that's so funny. Now that I think about it, I don't really see Smarties in the states. I spend about a month there every year. (Not all at once, but spread out), and I really don't see many Smartie boxes, haha.

  • wooooow trying to be martha stewert much!?!?!?!

  • Martha is the goddess of all things home. Not even in my wildest dreams have I ever aspired to emulate her!

  • looks good! is there any way you can roll it up with the chocolate in the middle, so it not so messy to eat? cool video make more!

  • well it dries hard so i dont think so?
