weekly i clocked between 500 to 600 kms and a 76 lts full tank is not enough. If I used it the whole week city driving AU$25/day ($1.30/ltr avrg.) is just enough. Apart from that I was advised by Mazda dealer to use PULP because the engine rattles if I used E10. I tried to take it to the outback and got stuck in the sand. This car is purely
hey we've bought the 2009 one it's amzaing!!!! u really can compare with the mercedes, bmw, and even lexus it seems that mazda is really getting along with the best <3 <3 <3
Got a 2008 Loaded except for AWD (no snow where I live). Bought it under $30k. Best buy for the money. Test drove others- Highlander (expensive plus add extra stuff can get really pricey), PILOT- boring truck drive. MDX - feels heavy and waaaay too overpriced. CX-9 has good car feel handling, quick, and tons of space. con-- need more storage and voice navigation..then it would be perfect.
On November 18 2008 Ford announced that it would be selling a 20% stake in Mazda bringing its stake to 13.4%, and surrendering control of the company. The following day Mazda announced that, as part of the deal, it was buying back 6.8% of its shares from Ford. It was also reported that Hisakazu Imaki would be stepping down as chief executive, to be replaced by Takashi Yamanouchi.
@Dexerion It's a great looking vehicle. How is it on gas? Can you give a rough estimate of city mpg? I am thinking of getting one but giving a tight budget is wondering about gas mileage.
We bought an '08 - very nice, very well engineered vehicle. We drove the Highlander and Pilot - for me it was an easy decision. Mazda is definately on the up and up.
I have it and i love it! The car is great and handles like a passengar car and is great in the snow. These arent available in the UK but Russia will get it!
ITS NOT AN SUV!!!!!i hate it when people consider crossovers as suvs, there not even like suvs,it dosen't even do anything that make suvs any different then minivans, they sould be considered as a crossover station wagon,or a crossover minivan, but not a crossover suv,its useless off road, and as pervously stated in the commentes below me there not very good a towing things!
I have had my cx9 for a year now. I looked at every mid-size suv in with three rows of seats...honda, toyota (fan of both), and nissan didn't even come close. Saturn was to BIG and nothing to show for it and the Tribeca was tiny. The cx9 had everything I needed and wanted. An added bonus it looks great! As far a gas millage it gets better millage than my 2002 Ford Explorer and 2006 Nissan Xterra that I had previously. I have no regrets with the cx9!
grooved rotors and pads vs a transmission failure? LOL Maybe if the brakes were sub par like the accura's, the pads might last longer haha, where are your brains and priorities?
Very true.. I would call it the best car of its price. We have one here and it is really really fun to drive, it is quick and it looks great from the inside and outside..
Everything you can ask for in a car.. So far its going smooth :)
I just got an 08 CX9 GT FWD, and I love it. Traded in my Expedition and haven't missed it for one second. The middle row seats feel easily as roomy as the Expedition, and the third row is plenty roomy for when it is needed. I love this vehicle and can't say enough about how fun it is to drive!
I like the styling on the cx9 but I would rather buy a Saturn Outlook. there are real seats in the 3rd row and can seat 8. Also the handling is sooo nice (had one for an all day test drive) those who think the cx9 is nice should look at the saturn
We just picked up an 08 CX9 GT AWD after cross shopping with the lambdas and a few other vehicles. While I have to agree the Saturn/GMC/Buick has more 3rd row(head)room, the Mazda was much nicer to drive. The Saturn hardly made a right turn without taking out the cars sitting at the light, it was significantly underpowered, swayed back and forth in even the simplest parking lot turns, had lower quality materials in many places, and felt twice the size of the CX9 in a bad way.
To be fair I drive a Mazdaspeed3, but am far from biased. Just so happens that Mazda had 2 vehicles I love. I do agree though, consider them both.
IMHO: the Lambdas will appeal to those that like to be isolated(softest ride/steering) from the road, consistently need to haul 7-8 adults, or are brand loyal to GM/American made. The Mazda to those that prefer a more engaging drive, higher quality materials, and more ergonomic controls.
we were looking between the acadia, outlook and cx9. The acadia sucked. The outlook was alright but the steering is bad. Also it is built on a truck frame and it can not accelerate for crap. The cx9 had better safety and it is built on a volvo frame so it is much quicker then the outlook. The cx9 also had alot more leg room than anything else. Im 6'5" and I couldnt fit in the outlook or the acadia's 3rd row. But i could fit in the cx9 3rd row
