He played against tougher competition which is why Russell's teams had a lower winning percentage in the playoff than Jordan's teams. Yet Russell's squads won almost every game 7 and Russell won twice as many NBA titles as the selfish Jordan. Jordan won 6 NBA Finals MVPs but yet the trophy is named after Bill Russell. What does that tell you. 11 Rings means Russell is the BEST.

They almost lost 2001 to the Sixers who had no other legitimate scorer except for Iverson and with their best defensive player (George Lynch) out and a slow non scoring Center in Mutumbo. If you are 23 that means that you were born in 1986 or 1985 when Jordan came into the league. Jordan played against better defenses and teams that had better fundamentals and teamwork. You would have been fully aware of what you were seeing at age 10 1995 or 1996 when Jordan was in his prime but you wouldn't remember details. I do - I'm 40 and was fully aware at age 10 (1979). I have seen 3 eras of the NBA with detail. There is no question in my mind that prime Jordan is better than prime Kobe.
