Thus episode is something like a turning point for their whole relationship. After Big wakes up in the morning, being repudiative again, Carrie realises that she should not wait anylonger and hope that Big will change someday... and so she does not reply his calls at the end of the series. Even when Big stands in front of her in " An American Girl in Paris (Part Une)" and tells her that things have changed and that he has realised that he needs her, she remains true to herself. Awesome!
